BONLEE - Josephine "Josie" Kiser Moody, 89, of 1100-B Bonlee-Bennett Road, Siler City, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at SunBridge Care Facilities, Siler City.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Providence United Methodist Church, Siler City, where she was a member, with the Rev. Warren Owens and the Rev. David Wade officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Moore County, the widow of J. Lewis Moody and a homemaker. She was the historian and a member of the choir and adult Sunday School Class at her church.
Surviving are daughters, Barbara M. Dowd of Bonlee, Betty M. Caudle of Goldston; sons, Harry L. Moody of Forest Parks, Ga., David F. Moody of Bonlee, Danny C. Moody of Pittsboro; brother, Eulon Kiser of Bear Creek; sisters, Emma K. Clark of Siler City, Vera K. Gaines of Bonlee, Ruby K. Edwards of Bear Creek; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

DENTON - Thelma Owen Daniel, 80, of Flat Swamp Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Summerville Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Flynn Richardson and the Rev. Mike Motley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Davidson County, retired from Burlington Industries, the children's Sunday School class teacher and a member of the Golden Youth Group at her church. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, a member of the Stitchery Group, a member of a quilting group at Floyd Baptist Church and a graduate of Southmont High School.
Surviving are daughter, Marcia Allen Daniel of Asheboro; brothers, Burnice Owen of Denton, L.D. Owen of Blacksburg, S.C.

ELLERBE - John Lynn Moore, 42, of 2772 N. U.S. 220, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital, Rockingham.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Exway Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. David Peitz and the Rev. Edwin Moore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Mildenhall, England, a trustee at his church, a poultry manager with Stewart Farms of Ellerbe, instructor with Richmond County Medical Services and was chief of the Ellerbe Rescue Squad.
Surviving are wife, Carolyn Smith Moore of the home; son, John Eric Moore of the home; stepson, William C. Chriscoe of Raleigh; parents, James L. "Wimp" and Pauline Ellis Moore of Robbins; grandmother, Blanche Moore of Robbins; brother, Ray Moore of Robbins; sister, Peggy Williams of Robbins.

She was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Pfeiffer College, High Point College and East Carolina University, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a retired teacher with Randolph County Schools and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Asheboro.
Surviving are sister, Rebecca Ann Craven of Franklinville; mother and stepfather, Ethel and L.T. Cox of Franklinville.
