She was a native of Baltimore, Md., a graduate of Union Memorial School of Nursing and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are sons, Earl DeLooze and Raymond DeLooze, both of Asheboro, Karl DeLooze of San Diego, Calif., David DeLooze of Maryland; daughters, Marilyn Tillman of Shrewsbury, Pa., Karen George of Missouri; half sister, Carolyn Cook of Annapolis, Md.; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Ruth Mae Cagle Cranford, 63, of 426 Crestview Church Road, Asheboro, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Donnie McNeill and Pastor Garry Reeder officiating. Burial will be in Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and a retired textile worker.
Surviving are husband, Donald Eugene "Gene" Cranford of the home; sons, Pastor Garry Lacy Reeder of Seagrove, Terry Reeder of Asheboro, Trona Cranford of the home; sisters, Magalene Chriscoe of Seagrove, Mexie Smith of Randleman; brother, Vernon Cagle of Asheboro; six grandchildren; one stepgrandchild.

ASHEBORO - William Norman "Tom" Needham, 80, of 505 Clegg Avenue, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. Thurman Jenkins officiating.
He was a native of Moore County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of Teamster Local 391 and a retired truck driver.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church, where he was a charter member, with Dr. Ron Hamilton and the Rev. Don Dawalt officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County and retired from Black & Decker.

He was a native of Guilford County and was retired from Slane Glass Company of Statesville.

She was a native of Surry County and the widow of John C. Parris.

She was a native of Montgomery County, the widow of Clarence Elwood Davis and a retired employee of Nixon Reynolds Hosiery Company.
Surviving are daughters, Jean McGee and Janice Hammett, both of Trinity, Clarice Crotts and Betty Skipper, both of Sophia; brothers, Clinton Brown and Harvey Brown, both of Archdale; sisters, Barbara Woodell and Brenda Ayers, both of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Davidson County, the widow of Robert Govenor Beck, a member of the Lutheran Church Women, a member of John Bender Worship Center, the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post 619 and retired from NCNB.
Surviving are daughter, Bonita Brown of Asheboro; son, Robert Lee Beck; sisters, Leona Sloop of High Point, Lucy Bryant of Mt. Airy; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

GREENSBORO - Arthur Roderick "Rod" Peer, 85, of 1111-A Birchcrest Drive, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Beacon Place, Greensboro.

He was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a retired salesman. He was instrumental in the foundation of the Smith High School Booster Club.
