CARTHAGE - Lassie Lucian Scott Sr., 75, of 1241 Union Church Road, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at his home.

He was a native of Surry County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a farmer and retired after 35 years with The Roberts Company in Sanford.
Surviving are wife, Margaret Hardy Scott; daughter, Ann Lynch of Carthage; sons, L.L. "Scottie" Scott Jr. of Carthage, H.R. "Randy" Scott of Waxhaw, John N. Scott of Los Angeles, Calif., James E. Scott of Raleigh; sisters, Doris S. Nardo of West End, Sally S. Vignola of Pinehurst, Virginia S. Adams of Greenville, S.C.; eight grandchildren.

He was a native of Randolph County, retired employee of Dar Ran Furniture and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Friendship Sunday School class, United Methodist Men and a former member of the administrative board and the choir at his church. He was a member of Archdale-Trinity Lions Club, Disabled American Veterans and was a Purple Heart recipient.
Surviving are wife, Nancy Farlow Burrow of the home; daughter, LuAnn Spain of Raleigh; son, Jeffrey Burrow of Sophia; mother, Ila B. Skeen of Trinity; brothers, Harrison Burrow, Olen Burrow, both of Archdale, Leon Skeen of Lexington; sisters, Ann Burton of Randleman, Jean S.
