GOLDSBORO - Vonnie Jackson Seymour, 89, of 3101 U.S. 117 North, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Seymour Funeral Home, Goldsboro, with Howard D. Seymour, Billy M. Britt and Douglas Seymour officiating. A private burial will be held.
She was a native of Johnston County and the widow of Albert G. Seymour.
Surviving are sons, Ralph Seymour and Howard Seymour, both of Goldsboro; daughters, Latha Jones of Mount Olive, Viola S. Britt of Greensboro, Iola S. Barrow of Goldsboro, Faye Seymour of the home; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, other times at the home of Howard and Connie Seymour, 116 Perkins Drive, Goldsboro.

COLERIDGE - Roger Darrell "Pete" Moffitt, 63, of 4988 Old Coleridge Road, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, with the Rev. Paul Boyle officiating. Burial will be in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, retired from Ramtex Inc. after 30 years and he attended New Life Assembly of God.
Surviving are wife, Margaret Holt Moffitt of the home; sons, Steven Moffitt of Franklinville, Kenneth Moffitt of Coleridge; daughter, Christie Frazier of Bear Creek; mother, Irene Jessup Moffitt of the home; sister, Barbara Hannon of Siler City; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren.

SILER CITY - William Earl Dorsett, 66, of 316 S. Cedar Ave., died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rocky River Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Greg W. Burriss and the Rev. Gene Booker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Chatham County, a retired truck driver with Hadley Peoples Manufacturing Company and a self-employed truck driver. He was a deacon, member of the Men's Bible Class and assistant Sunday School secretary at his church and a Siler City Fire Department volunteer where he was a past assistant chief, captain and safety officer.
Surviving are wife, Linda Culberson Dorsett of Siler City; sons, Keith Dorsett of Greensboro, Mitch Dorsett of Siler City; sister, Linda Kay Justice of Siler City; one granddaughter.

CLIMAX - Mary Elizabeth Allen, 79, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Guilford Health Care Center.

She was a native of Guilford County, attended Providence School and an employee with Belk for 57 years.

She was a native of Yadkin County and retired from Carthage Fabric.

TRINITY - Henry "Pid" Clay Kennedy, 89, of 3028 Thayer Road, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, in Graybrier Nursing Center.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with the Rev. Randall A. Quate officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors.
He was a native of Randolph County, a retired farmer and a World War II U.S. Army veteran, where he received the American Theater Medal, Eamet Medal with four bronze service stars, the good conduct medal and the victory medal. He was a graduate of Trinity High School and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Surviving are wife, Radie Skeen Kennedy of the home; brothers, Robert Kennedy and Elder Kennedy, both of Trinity, Carl Kennedy of High Point.
The family will be at the funeral home 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brick Reformed United Church of Christ, with Dr. Wally Fonville officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Troy, the widow of James T. Foster, a member of Uwharrie Methodist Church and she attended Brick Reformed United Church of Christ. She was a retired Expeditor with AT&T and a member of the Pioneer Club.
Surviving are daughter, Eva Diana Pannasch of Beaufort, S.C.; granddaughter, Deborah L. Shackelford of the home; brothers, D. Elco Morton of Greensboro, T. Odell "Pete" Morton of Asheboro; sister, Marie Edwards of Shelby; one grandson.

WHISPERING PINES - E. Frank Fary, 97, of Quail Haven Village, formerly of Whispering Pines, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Carthage United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Terry Huffines officiating. Entombment will be in Cross Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.
He was a native of Middlesex County, Va., the widower of Ruth Murden Fary and Elizabeth Kennedy Fary and a member of the Southern Pines Shooting Club. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Nile Temple, and a 32nd Degree Mason. He worked for Virginia Electric and Power Co. and retired as superintendent of Generation from Manila Electric Company in the Philippines.
Surviving are daughters, Diane Fary of Wake Forest, Millie F. Coleman of Franklinton; sons, Frank Fary Jr. of Blowing Rock, Richard Fary of Conway, S.C.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the church following the service.

She was a native of Venice, Italy, the widow of Paul "Casey" Radford and a retired seamstress of Cone Mills, Haynes Plant.
Surviving are sons, Stanley Radford of Asheboro, David Radford of Ellenboro, Michael Joel Radford of Henrietta; daughter, Judy Mashburn of Henrietta; sister, Dora Cosillato of Turin, Italy; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren.
A Rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home, Cliffside. The family will be at the funeral home following the Rosary, until 9 p.m.

He attended Southwestern Randolph High School and the Church of God of Prophecy, Ramseur, and was employed with Unilever Corp.

He was a native of Rockford, Ill., a former plant manager with the Weiman Furniture Corp. and a retired worker from Mobile Chemical Co. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 45.
