ASHEBORO - Carl P. Bimbo, 86, of 1308 Old Cox Road, Apt. 3, Asheboro, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where he was a member, with Father Joseph W. Mack officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
He was a native of Rockford, Ill., a former plant manager with Weiman Furniture Corp. and a retired worker from Mobile Chemical Co. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 45 and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are wife, Lee B. Bimbo; sons, Carl L. Bimbo of Raleigh, Steven F. Bimbo of Asheboro; five grandchildren.
The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Friday, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Kenneth Reaves and the Rev. Gayle Ford officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker.

RANDLEMAN - Gene Whitson Prevo, 67, of 4555 Bowman Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at his home.
Funeral service will 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Reaves and the Rev. William Rice officiating. Burial will be in Midway Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
He was a native of Randleman, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Southport, and a retired worker from Fluor Daniels Construction Co. He was member of Masonic Lodge #699 and Oasis Shrine and a 32nd-degree Mason.
Surviving are wife, Loleta Campbell Prevo of Randleman; daughter, Cindy P. Felts of Asheboro; sons, Randy Prevo and Dean Prevo, both of Asheboro; brother, Larry Prevo of Carolina Beach; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

TROY - Mary Batten Mauldin, 84, of 719 Covington Road, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2002, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Briggs Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Mike Elliott officiating.
She was a native of Moore County and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Troy. She retired as salesperson from B.C. Moore's Department store after 30 years.
Surviving are son, Bobby Mauldin of Troy; brother, Branson Batten of Troy; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Chatham County.

He was a native of Randolph County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a member of Central Wesleyan Church and a retired worker from General Electric.

ARCHDALE - Youda Lee Beane Brady, 100, former resident of Logan Street, High Point, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, in the Westwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Archdale.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Cloverdale Church of the Living God where she was a charter member, with the Rev. David Perry and Vonda Widener officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Julius Carr Brady and a retired worker from Adams-Millis Corp.
Surviving are daughters, Jacksie Cranford of Trinity, Grace Jones of Eden and Dixie Ross of High Point; sons, Jay Brady of Riverside, Calif., Austin C. He was a native of Chatham County and owner/operator of Cook's Radiator Service. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the VFW and Bonlee Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and assistant church secretary.
Surviving are wife, Elizabeth (Lib) Branson Cook of Bonlee; daughters, Diane Jourdan of Bear Creek and Michelle Marsh of Bonlee; brothers, Ulys Cook and Elbert Cook both of Siler City and Claude Cook of Bonlee; sister, Nora Lee Cook of Snow Camp; four grandchildren; one great-grandson.

She was a native of Davidson County, the widow of Carey Edgar Moore, a former employee with Standard Chair Co. and a retired employee from Kayby Mills. She was a member of the Emma Lambeth Sunday School Class at her church.

CAMDEN, N.J. - James Edward Peterson, 59, formerly of Robbins, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Collins Chapel Congregation Church, Robbins, with the Rev. Grant Smith officiating. Burial will be at New Zion Cemetery, Robbins.

He was a native of Chatham County and the widower of Madge Wicker Gunter. He was previously employed in maintenance with the railroad, as a carpenter and with Routh's Feed Mill. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonary, Mt. Vernon Lodge #143, honorary member Siler City Lodge #403, North Carolina Shriners and a member of Siler City Chapter #9 Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are wife, Daile Macon Gunter of Ramseur; stepson, Edwin E. Bridges of Siler City; one stepgranddaughter.

She was a native of Randolph County, attended Southwestern Randolph High School and Randolph Community College. She served as vice president of the Parrish Council at St. Joseph's, was involved in Relay for Life and Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are husband, Eddie Dombrowski, of the home; sons, E.J. Dombrowski and John Dombrowski, both of the home; daughter, Cecelia Dombrowski, of the home; mother, Beulah Hill of Asheboro; sisters, Kay Turner and Judy Saunders, both of Asheboro, and Janet Pierce of Randleman; brother, Don Seabolt of Asheboro.
A Rosary service will be 6 p.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with visitation to follow from 6:30-9 p.m.
