HIGH POINT - Raymond Wilson Isom, 88, of 115 Donic Drive, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with the Rev. Elwood Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
He was the widower of Minnie Joyce Isom, retired from Highland Cotton Mill and was a member of the National Guard in Portsmouth, Va. He attended Cloverdale Baptist Church and was a member of Highland Methodist Church. He played Bluegrass music as a professional.
Surviving are sons, Raymond F. Isom of Thomasville and Roger D. Isom of King; sister, Minnia McManus of High Point; brother, Marshall Isom of Asheboro; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; companion Pawnee Lingerfelt of Trinity; care givers, Danny and Sandy East of Archdale and Larry and Peggy Johnson of Trinity; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, other times the family will be at the home of Sandy East, 1011 Robin Lane, Archdale.
Blanche C. Russell
TROY - Blanche Chappell Russell, 88, of 640 Biscoe Road, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at her home.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Dr. Stan Smith and the Rev. Mike Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery.
She was a native of Montgomery County, a graduate of Candor High School and a graduate of East Carolina University. In her church she was active with Circle #3, the XYZ Club and the Russell Bible Class. She was an avid gardener and golfer, a member of the Child Study Club of Troy and a community volunteer.
Surviving are husband, J. Paul Russell of Troy; daughters, Blanche R. Keller of Asheboro and Paula R. Holzer of Boulder, Colo.; sons, Charles J. Russell of Troy and Larry J. Russell of Mt. Gilead; sister, Rebecca Welbourne of High Point; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday.

Fred Coleman Routh
KERNERSVILLE - Fred Coleman Routh, 76, of Kernersville died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was owner of Routh Tile Co. since 1969 and worked in ceramic tile installation for 52 years.
Surviving are wife, Mattie Lee Routh; daughter, Kay Moore of Winston-Salem; sons David Routh and Donald Routh, both of Kernersville and Roger Routh of Mt. Airy; three sisters; two brothers; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home in Kernersville Monday from 6-8 p.m.

GREENSBORO - Minnie Lee Millikan Lamb, 102, of 4007 W. Wendover Ave., died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at Evergreens Inc., Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Howard Dixon and the Rev. James Robbins officiating. Burial will be in South Plainfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, Sophia.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Robert "Bob" Lamb and a homemaker.
Surviving are Mary Moore of High Point, Louise Stanley of Sophia, Donna Camp of Sophia, all of whom she had previously lived with.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

LIBERTY - Peggy Elizabeth Smith, 74, of 2871 Bumpas Road, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at her home.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Cool Spring Baptist Church, Franklinville.
A native of Randolph County, she retired from Ramtex Division of Burlington Mills after 40 years.
Surviving are daughters, Virginia Brady of Carthage, Millie Sharpe of Staley, Lisa Ferguson of Staley; sons, Buck Ferguson of Liberty, Jerry Ferguson of Staley, Alton Ferguson of Franklinville; sister, Sarah Ola Hutchins of Asheboro; brother, Larry David Griffin of Milton, Fla.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the church immediately following the service on Thursday morning, other times at the home.

ASHEBORO - John Earl Hamilton, 88, of 509 N. Church St., Asheboro, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Asheboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Adrian Pugh and the Rev. Joe Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors.
He was a native of Montgomery County and a charter member of Ward Street Baptist Church which later became Fayetteville Street Baptist Church. He was a past deacon, a Sunday School superintendent, a member of the Men's Bible Class and worked in various areas of the church. He worked for National Chair Company, Kizer Cleaners, Burlington Industries and B & B Paneling. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II.
Surviving are wife, Ila Bunting Hamilton, of the home; sons, Steve Hamilton of Kernersville, Jerry Hamilton of McLeansville, the Rev.
