FARMER - Rosa Mozelle Horney, 83, formerly of Farmer, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Farmer United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. J. Harold Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Farmer High School, retired from Acme-McCrary and in the Farmer Grange.

DENTON - Mamie Lucille Bescher Hunt, 84, of 6692 Farmer Denton Road, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Lee Green officiating. Burial will be in North Bend Cemetery, Denton.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Guy L. Hunt, a member of Farmer Baptist Church and the Bischer Chapel area Bible study group and retired from General Electric of Asheboro.
Surviving are son, William Clay Hunt of Asheboro; sisters, Beulah Hinson, Lillian Shanas, both of Asheboro, Kathleen Mccannon of Greensboro; one granddaughter.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Sunday, other times at the home.

DENTON - James Arthur "Jim" Hulin, 96, of Mountain Vista Health Park, formerly of Hulin McDowell Road, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at Mountain Vista.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ray O'Ferrell and the Rev. Lee Roy Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Canara Garner Hulin, a farmer and attended Piney Grove United Methodist Church.
Surviving are sons, Clarence Hulin of Asheboro, Tom Hulin, Holis Hulin, Fred Hulin, all of Denton; daughters, Bessie Parrish of Trinity, Exie Hedrick of Lexington, Alma McDowell, Jacqueline Sexton, Sarah Mullins, all of Denton; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, 6-8 p.m. Monday, other times at the home of Fred Hulin, Hulin McDowell Road.

ELLERBE - David Tilley, 82, of 694 Clayton Carriker Road, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003, at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Carter Funeral Home, Ellerbe, with the Rev. George Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Ellerbe Cemetery.
He was a native of Patrick County, Va., the widower of Nettie Puckett Tilley, a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church and a retired country music entertainer.
Surviving are sons, Ray Tilley of Clemmons, Roger Tilley of Ellerbe; daughters, Mary Jo Rogers of Asheboro, Carolyn Spivey of Ellerbe; brothers, C.L. Tilley of Winston-Salem, Frankie Tilley of Dobson, Butch Tilley of Danbury, Va.; sisters, Geneva Hughes of Germantown, Shirley Johnson of King; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Chatham County and owner/operator of Eugene Oldham House Movers.

He was a native of Asheboro and an employee of Kayser-Roth Corp.

He was a native of Alamance County, a retired employee of the U.S. Post Office and a member of Bula Masonic Lodge #409 in Burlington.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Martha Welch and Dr. J.C. Grose officiating. Entombment will be in Randolph Memorial Park with Police and Military Honor Guard.
He was a native of Danbury and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He retired as a lieutenant of the Detective Division with the Asheboro Police Department after 28 years and after five years with the Randolph County Sheriff's Department.
Surviving are wife, Mildred Tippett Tatum of the home; sister, Flossie T. Bulla of Asheboro.

He was a native of Franklin, the widower of Marie Butler Raby and a retired employee of Laughlin Hosiery Mill, Randleman. He coached Randleman Little League, Pony League and Adult League baseball teams.
Surviving are son, Michael Raby of Randleman; daughters, Sandra Redding and Teresa R. Memory, both of Greensboro; brother, Ray Raby of Robbins; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
