GOLDSTON - Ruth Glover Painter Cunnup, 77, of 415 Hillcrest Ave., died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bear Creek Baptist Church, Bear Creek, with the Rev. Bob Wachs, the Rev. Robert Capps and Chaplain Jan Clark officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Bear Creek.
She was a native of Charlotte, a graduate of Central High School in Charlotte and had attended Campbell University. She was a former member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church where she served as the organist. She was formerly employed with E.I. Dupont de Nemoors, as a bookkeeper for Intimate Bookshop of Chapel Hill, with the Chatham County tax office and retired from the Accounts Receivable department at Burlington Industries. She was later the financial secretary for Parkway Baptist Church in Greensboro and served as a children's Sunday School teacher, pianist and organist.
Surviving are husband, the Rev. Manuel E. Cunnup of Goldston; sons, Steve Cunnup of Richardson, Texas, David Cunnup of Hurdle Mills, Tim Cunnup of Goldston; sister, JoAnn P. Caulder of Charlotte; five grandchildren.
The family will be at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home.

ASHEBORO - Alice S. Fuller, 89, of 429 Watkins St., Asheboro, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at her home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Greater St. John Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. J.F. Kearns officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvery Cemetery.
She was a native of Chatham County and a homemaker.
Surviving are son, Jesse Fuller of Taylortown; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Jennie Belle Auman Richardson, 90, formerly of Carillon Assisted Living, Asheboro, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Asheboro Health & Rehabilitation.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with Elder Richard Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Rankin J. Richardson, a charter member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church and a retired employee of Burlington Industries after 45 years.
Surviving are daughters, Joan R. Williams of Star, Audrey R. Hurley of Troy; sister, Bonnie A. Hunt of Seagrove; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 1-2 p.m. Thursday.

RANDLEMAN - Arthur Vernon "Cap" Burrow, 90, of 501 Pointe South Drive, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with Pastor Richard Watson and Pastor Maxton Craven officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
He retired after operating Randolph Rest Home and other area rest homes.
Surviving are wife, Mabel Victoria Smith Burrow of Randleman; sons, Clayton Burrow of Seagrove, David Burrow of Denton, John Burrow of Asheboro, Kenny Burrow of Greensboro; daughters, Lou Wilson of Randleman, Anita Deaton of Asheboro; brother, Virgil Burrow of Randleman; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

She was a native of Randolph County, former co-owner of Cecil's BBQ in Level Cross and a retired employee of Jockey International, Randleman.

She was a native of Chatham County and office manager for Siler City Chevrolet-Buick.

She was a native of Gaston County.

Harold P. Olsen
HARLINGEN, Texas - Harold Peter Olsen, 68, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at his home.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Harlingen Elk's Lodge #1889. A service will be held in Morganton on Feb. 1.
He was a native of St. Paul, Minn., and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a graduate of Illinois State University, received his master's degree from Southern Illinois University, did post-graduate work at the University of Maryland and attended Florida State University for doctoral studies. He was a teacher at East Carolina University and the Dean of Curriculum at Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) in Morganton. He was a former president of the N.C. Dean's Association, retired from WPCC after 30 years and was awarded Dean Emeritus. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Morganton, where he served as treasurer. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge in Harlingen, Texas, where he served as an officer, volunteer and trustee.
Surviving are wife, Liz Olsen of Harlingen, Texas; daughters, Dawn O. McGimsey of Morganton, Diane Olsen of Asheboro; sisters, Betty Cain of Aiea Place, Hawaii, June Driscoll, Doris Olson, both of St. Paul, Minn., Carol Judge of Morganton; two grandchildren.

She was a Randolph County native, a homemaker and an active member of the Senior Citizens at her church. She was a graduate of Grays Chapel High School.

He was a Randolph County native, attended Deep River Baptist Church and was a 1995 graduate of Eastern Randolph High School.

She was a Davidson County native and a homemaker. She was a former treasurer of the United Methodist Women, held various offices and served on several committees and boards at her church. She was a member of the choir and formerly taught Sunday school.
Surviving are husband, John H. Skeen of the home, daughters, Nancy Reed of Thomasville, Hallie Jessup of Jamestown and Emily Bish of Banner Elk; son, Stanley Van Skeen of Swannanoa; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
