JACKSON SPRINGS - Ruby Elizabeth McKenzie, 93, of Martin Road, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Bob Ramey and the Rev. J.J. Manning officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Springs Cemetery.
She was a native of Moore County and a homemaker.
Surviving are sons, Walter A. "Mack" McKenzie, Roger Clyde McKenzie, both of Jackson Springs, William L. "Bill" McKenzie of Eagle Springs; sisters, Lucy Shelton of Gainesville, Ga., Louise Lay of Granite Quarry; brother, Wayne McCaskill of Georgia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, Candor, 6-8 p.m. Saturday, other times at the home of Mack McKenzie, 1131 Martin Road, Jackson Springs.

ROBBINS - Leland Williams McNeill, 79, of 148 Rushwood St., died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation, Siler City.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Robbins First Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Ernest Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Pine Rest Cemetery.
He was a native of Moore County, the widower of Sara Ussery McNeill and a retired employee of Robbins Mill.
Surviving are daughter, Myra Hamilton of Siler City; two grandchildren.
The family will be at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday.

ASHEBORO - James Michael "Bubbles" Adams, 52, of 608 Holly St., Asheboro, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was a native of Randolph County, former co-owner of Adams Auto Cleanup and Dixie Flea Antiques and a former employee of the N.C. Department of Transportation.
Surviving are wife, Jeigh Kennedy Adams of the home; mother, Ruby Bondurant Adams of the home.

ASHEBORO - Charles Ray Cross, 62, of 5416 Pisgah Covered Bridge Road, Asheboro, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at his home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Center Cross Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard R. Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Guilford County and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was formerly employed with Klaussner Furniture and attended Center Cross Baptist Church.
Surviving are wife, Betty Strider Cross; sons, Walter Ray Cross, Donald Clay Cross, both of Asheboro; daughter, Faye McLeod of Asheboro; brother, John Bain Cross of Kingsport, Tenn.; eight grandchildren.

She was a native of Randolph County and a retired employee of Fox Apparel Inc., Randleman.

ARCHDALE - Protus Terrell Wood, 74, of 3776 Wood Ave., died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Glenola Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Doug Davis, the Rev. Norman Livengood and the Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County and a deacon, former choir leader and treasurer at his church. He was a member of the Piedmont Lodge, where he was a past master, and a member of the York Rite Bodies. He retired from Petrolane Gas Co. and was a farmer.
Surviving are wife, Irma White Wood of the home; daughters, Karen W. McKenzie of Trinity, Terra W. Russo of Raleigh; son, Kevin Protus Wood of Archdale; brother, Herman Wood of Archdale; two grandsons; two stepgrandchildren.

HIGH POINT - James L. Gibson, 82, of SunBridge of the Triad, formerly of 701 S. Elm St., died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at SunBridge of the Triad.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. William A. Slater officiating. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens.
He was a native of Davidson County and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He attended Jones Business College, retired from Myrtle Desk Company and was a member of the Thayer Sunday School Class at his church.
Surviving are wife, Ruth Coble Gibson of High Point; stepdaughter, Janice Burrow Clark of Asheboro; daughter, Cindi Ulmer of Cope, S.C.; brother, Willie Gibson of Archdale; sister, Sarah Edwards of Randleman.

CARTHAGE - Mosley G. Boyette Jr., 62, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. David Coffey and the Rev. Tom Herndon. Entombment will be in Cross Hill Mausoleum.
He was a native of Moore County, a former Jaycee and Eagle Scout, a 1965 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Law School and practiced law in Carthage until he retired. He was a former deacon in his church and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Surviving are daughter, Kelly Boyette of Pinehurst; son, Mosley G. "Gray" Boyette III; sisters, Kay Stephenson of Welden, Helen Allen of Kinston; two grandchildren.
