Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Barry Gray officiating. Burial will be in Chatham Memorial Park.
He was a member of Wesley's Christian Fellowship Church, retired after 30 years from Siler City Mills and was co-owner of Farrar and Farrar Funeral Home. He was a member of American Legion Post 297, Friendly Savings Club and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are daughter, Vicki Brooks of Siler City; son, J. Morris Farrar of Siler City; sister, Catherine Price of Siler City; brother, Thomas Farrar Sr. of Staley; three grandchildren.
The family will be at the church 2-2:30 p.m. Sunday.

She was a native of Montgomery County and was retired from Troy Drapery.

He was a native of Candor, a self-employed farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

ANNANDALE, Va. - Richard "Dick" E. Sims, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at his home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Everly Colonial Funeral Home, Falls Church, Va. Burial will be in National Memorial Park.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - William C. "Chick" Earnhart, 73, formerly of Randleman, died Sunday, June 14, 1998, in San Antonio.
A military service with colorguard was held Saturday, June 20, at Tylunas Funeral Home, Chicopee, Mass. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
He was the widower of Elizabeth M. Earnhart, retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sgt., and was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Surviving is sister, Vera E. Curtis of Burlington.

He was a native of Dixon, Ky., retired personnel director of General Electric and Black & Decker of Asheboro, formerly employed with Copeland Corporation of Lebanon, Mo., and was a Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a 1961 graduate of the University of Kentucky, where he received an M.B.A. in 1962, was a member of Knights of Columbus and an associate member of Mount St. Joseph Ursuline Community.
Surviving are wife, Norma Porter Blankenship; sons, Lee Blankenship of Harrisburg, Tim Blankenship of Greensboro; daughters, Laura Turner of Asheboro, Martha Bailey of Randleman; brother, Frank Blankenship of Navarre, Fla.; four grandchildren.

She received a teaching certificate from Appalachian State Teachers College and High Point College, was a retired teacher from Franklinville School, had taught for 38 years in Randolph and Davidson counties and was part of the organizing team of the Asheboro Exceptional Children's School.
Surviving are daughter, Helen W. Marley of Asheboro; stepdaughters, Ester W. Underwood of Asheboro, Grace W. Hix of Macon, Ga.; stepsons, Lacy J. Walker of Asheboro, S. Hayden Walker of Lexington; brothers, Samuel W. Myers of High Point, L. Wade Myers of Thomasville; eight stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.
