Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Long Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Candor, with the Rev. Larry Beaver officiating.
She was a native of Montgomery County, the widow of Elsie Reynolds, a member of Long Hill Baptist Church and a former employee of Capel Mills.
Surviving are sons, Bill Reynolds of Greenville, Jimmy Reynolds of Troy; daughter, Betty Fox of Conway, S.C.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Constance C. Rush
CARTHAGE - Constance Cheyenne Rush, infant daughter of Jeffrey Lynn and Pamela King Rush of 1976 Putnam-Glendon Road, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Maple Spring Baptist Church Cemetery, with Chad Turner officiating.
She was a native of Randolph County.
Surviving in addition to the parents are sister, Amber Rush of the home; brothers, Nathan Rush, Dakota Rush, Christopher Rush, all of the home; grandparents, Jean Hall of Asheboro, Hilda King of Robbins, Larry King of Seagrove; great-grandparents, Leon Mashburn and Callie King, both of Seagrove.
The family will be at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, 12.30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, other times at the home of Jean Hall, 848 Morgan Ave., Asheboro.

SILER CITY - Martha Thompson Pierce, 65, of 214 Albert Hargrove Road, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at her home.
Memorial service will be noon Friday at St. Julia Catholic Parrish, where she was a member, with Father Michael Lorenteen and Father Dan Quackenbush officiating.
She was a native of Guilford County, a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired employee of the Chatham County Department of Social Services. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Ind., with a B.S. in Education, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Master of Education, a graduate of A & T State University with a Master of Science in Agriculture Education and working on her doctorate in social work from NOVA Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was a member of the Franciscan Order.
Surviving are husband, Leland "Lee" Pierce of Siler City; sons, Timothy Lee Irwin of Caledonia, Minn., Mark Daniel Irwin of Ft. Bragg, Michael David Irwin of Greensboro; stepdaughters, Belinda Hunter of Phoenix, Ariz., Jenny Adams of Durham; sister, Mary Tragus of Philadelphia, Pa.; brother, Bobby Thompson of Gaffney, S.C.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

PITTSBORO - Mary Jane Jacques, 79, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Laurels of Chatham, Pittsboro.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Pittsboro United Methodist Church, with Pastor Louis Badenhorst officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
She was a native of Washington, D.C., a member of Pittsboro Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a former teachers' assistant with Pittsboro Elementary School.
Surviving are husband, Dr. Robert S. Jacques; sons, Gary Jacques of Denver, Colo., Dr. Richard G. Jacques of Greenville, S.C., Robert S. Jacques Jr. of Pittsboro; five grandchildren.

He was a native of Randolph County and a meat clerk.

SILER CITY - Patricia "Patsy" McMath Beale, 69, of 806 Mt. Vernon-Hickory Mountain Road, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at her home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lamont Hemminger and the Rev. Tommy Bright officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Mountain Baptist Church cemetery.
She was a native of Guilford County, the widow of John S. Beale and a retired employee of A.J. Schneierson and Sons. She attended Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, was a member of Hickory Mountain Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and an assistant pianist and choir member at both churches.
Surviving are son, Johnny Culberson of Bear Creek; brothers, Paul McMath of Greensboro, Keith McMath of Siler City; two grandsons; two stepgranddaughters.

SILER CITY - Johnny Clyde Taylor, 74, of 4248 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at his home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, with the Rev. Clyde Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Chatham Memorial Park.
He was a native of Bladen County and a retired pulp wood and furniture worker.
Surviving are wife, Sula Mote Taylor of Siler City; daughters, Teresa Taylor and Alice Taylor, both of Siler City; sister, Elizabeth Taylor of Siler City; brother, Donnie Taylor of Siler City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

CONCORD - Willie Yother, 89, of Kannapolis, formerly of Denton, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hoovers Grove Wesleyan Church, Denton, where he was a member, with the Rev. James Hulett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Rhea County, Tenn., the widower of Esther R. Yother, a carpenter and a former employee of Thomasville Furniture.
Surviving are daughter, Helen Y. Lemmons of Kannapolis; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the church following the service.

ASHEBORO - Samuel Johnson, 89, of 322 Independence Drive, Asheboro, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, Asheboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Windblow.
He was a retired from the Maintenance Department at Randolph Hospital.
Surviving are daughters, Bonnie Martin of Asheboro and Madgie Shelton of Rockingham; sons, S.J. Johnson of Ellerbe, Eulee Johnson of Lexington, John Johnson of Siler City, Robert Johnson and Randolph Johnson, both of Asheboro; foster sister, Geneva Oliver of Cheraw, S.C.; grandson, Sam "Pee Wee" Johnson of Asheboro, who was raised by his grandfather.
The family will be at Gailes Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-7:30 p.m. Saturday.

RAMSEUR - Herman Garfield Harris, 66, of 411 Kimrey St., died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Duke Medical Center, Durham.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Gary Arnett, the Rev. Richard Wright and the Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Knoll Cemetery.
He was a native of Stanley, employed as sales manager for Epic Enterprises and served in the U.S. National Guard.
Surviving are wife, Ann Burgess Harris of the home; brother, Joe Harris of Siler City; sister, Sylvia Boggs of Charlotte.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Chapman Mortuary, Huntington, W. Va., with the Rev. Don Walker officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Garden, Barboursville, W.Va.
He was a native of Pike County, Ky., and a U.S. Marine veteran. He was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are wife, Ruby Collins of Siler City; daughter, Valerie Collins Adkins of Barboursville, W.Va.; sons, Michael K. Collins and Luther Franklin Collins Jr., both of Siler City; sisters, Mary Frances Mullins of Huntington, W. Va., Doris Nickel of Richmond, Va., and Margaret Ann Rorrer of Hardy, Ky.; brother, Oliver Collins of Barboursville, W. Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

SILER CITY - James Thomas White, 83, of 111 E. Olympia St., died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at SunBridge Care Facilities, Siler City.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakley Baptist Church, where he is was a member, with the Rev. Timothy A. Howell and the Rev. Don Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He was a Chatham County native and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served on the Siler City Police Force for several years and was retired from Clapp Brothers, Inc.
Surviving are wife, Irene Edwards White of the home; daughter, Kay Purcell of Asheboro; sons, Roger White of Siler City and Tommy White of Asheboro; sister, Polly Marley of Siler City; brother, Bill White of Siler City; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Guilford County, a graduate of Wingate College, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Appalachian State University. She was a retired elementary school teacher and had taught at Norwood, Harrisburg and Mount Pleasant elementary schools.
Surviving are husband, Milton G. Hayes; son, Greg D. Hayes of Angier; M. Doug Hayes of Advance; brother, Grady Caviness of Albemarle; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
