Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, Vanstory Chapel, Greensboro. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.

He was of the Baptist faith, a regulator service technician for Piedmont Natural Gas and the owner and operator of Campbell's Quail Farm.

Surviving are wife, Sylvia M. Campbell; mother, Addie Williams Campbell of Staley; son, Lonnie Dale Campbell of Liberty; daughter, Annette Burton of Greensboro; son, Edgar Duke "Eddie" Vaughn III of Greensboro; brothers, James A. Campbell of Julian, John Dee Campbell of Liberty, Lloyd Campbell of Siler City; sisters, Dorothy C. Kivett, Addie Lea Taylor, Pat Campbell, all of Staley; five grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Furnie Robison
HIGH POINT - Furnie Robison, 82, of 509 Flint Ave., died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at his home.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Black Ankle.

He was a native of Horry County, S.C., the widower of Myrtle Smith Robison, a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a member of Wayside Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, where he served on the board of deacons.

Surviving are sons, Edward Robison of Washington, D.C., Bruce Robison and Danny Robison, both of Conway, S.C., George Robison of Sanford; daughters, Evelyn Page of Asheboro, Rose Robison of Thomasville, Bobbie Sykes of Denton; brothers, Willie B. Robison of Wilmington, Ernest Robison and Purlie Robison, both of Conway, S.C.; sisters, Nettie Ruth Johnson of Georgetown, S.C., May Buzzard of Hagerstown, Md.; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

The family will be at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262.

Walter Williams
MT. GILEAD - Walter "Jack Baldwin" Williams, 79, formerly of Mt. Gilead, died Monday, March 10, 2003, in Chapel Hill.

Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, Mt. Gilead, with the Rev. Dewey Rudisell officiating. Burial will be in Ingram Chapel Church cemetery.

He was a native of Montgomery County.

Surviving is wife, Ella Wee Williams of Henderson.

Clara D. Henderson
TROY - Clara Dennis Henderson, 87, of Westwood Apt. 12B, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Uwharrie United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating.

She was a native of Montgomery County, a member of Uwharrie United Methodist Church and a former employee of Troy Drapery Corp.

Surviving are son, Darrell Henderson of High Point; brother, Loy Dennis of Troy; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy, 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Johnny L. Brewer
ROBBINS - Johnny Lee Brewer, 51, of 1948 Spies Road, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at 1459 Chriscoe Road, Seagrove.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Browns Chapel Christian Church, with the Rev. Brady Stephens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Montgomery County and a pipe fitter with Local Union 421.

Surviving are sons, Johnny Lee Brewer Jr. of Robbins, Alex Brewer of Dunn, Austin Brewer of Snow Hill; daughters, Erica Brewer of Randleman, Brittany Maness of Highfalls; parents, Lee and Jean Williams Brewer of Robbins; sister, Sandra B. Maness of Robbins; brother, Glenn Brewer of Robbins.

The family will be at Phillips Funeral Home, Star, 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

Barbara B. Wrencher
CARTHAGE - Barbara Blue Wrencher, 98, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Carthage, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, in Detroit.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at John Hall Presbyterian Church, Carthage, with the Rev. Joseph Thompson and the Rev. Jimmie Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Moore County, a former deacon and missionary worker in John Hall Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are daughter, Azalia M. Hosey of Detroit, Mich.; son, Dr. James Blue of Durham; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the church 1-2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.

Fry & Prickett Funeral Home, Carthage, is in charge of arrangements.

LEXINGTON - Lala Daniel Tysinger Williams, 92, of Fallston, formerly of Denton, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Fallston Baptist Church, with the Rev. Scott Norton and the Rev. Bruce Rabon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Davidson County, the widow of Joseph Robert Tysinger and Colus William Williams and a homemaker.

Surviving are son, Douglas Tysinger of Fallston; stepsons, Floyd Williams of Casar, Sonny Williams of Lexington; daughter, Betty Cranford of Winston-Salem; brothers, Ed Daniel, Bill Daniel, Bert Daniel, all of Denton; sisters, Dean Yates of Savannah, Ga., Dallas Snider and Nona Carrick, both of Denton; 10 grandchildren.

The family will be at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston, 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

LaRue M. Brown
ASHEBORO - LaRue Morris Brown, 92, of 244 E. Wainman Ave., Asheboro, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

She was a Richmond County native and was employed with Pinehurst Textile for over 30 years. She was the widow of Herman Harvey Brown.

Surviving is sister, Nellie Perdue of Asheboro.

The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, 6-8 p.m. Friday; other times at her home.

ASHEBORO - Harvey Lee Cox, 60, of 505 E. Allred St., Asheboro, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at his home.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Arnold Ray Comer officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.

He was a Randolph County native and a former Watchman at Bossong Hosiery.

Surviving are wife, Nancy Moody Cox; daughters, Tammy Rollins Morgan and Karen Wilson Poole, both of Asheboro and Lesa Rollins Dawkins of Sophia; sons, Ronald Lee Cox of Sophia, Jonathan Rollins of Randleman; sisters, Ruby Lineberry of Eden, Marie Hussey and Louise Maness, both of Asheboro, Colene Marley of Coleridge; brother, Gilbert Cox of Asheboro; seven grandchildren.

The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Friday.

FRANKLINVILLE - Frances Alta Burrow Presnell, 67, of Asheboro Health and Rehabilitation, formerly of Franklinville, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Randolph Hospital.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Randolph Memorial Park with the Rev. Johnny Bullins and the Rev. Jim Moore officiating.

She was a Randolph County native and formerly employed with Vesture Mfg.

Surviving are brother, Harold Burrow of Climax; sister, Gertrude B. Bowman of Franklinville.

The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 7-9 p.m. Friday; other times at the home of her sister, 2323 Sandy Lake Drive, Franklinville.

Clyde M. Ward
HIGH POINT - Clyde Madison Ward, 89, of Evergreen Nursing Home, formerly of 9420 Archdale Road, Trinity, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with the Rev. Hallie Scott and the Rev. John Osteen officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.

He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Grace Osteen Ward and a retired superintendent of R.K. Stewart & Son after 30 years. He was a member of the First Church of God, former member of the Board of Trustees and served on various committees at the church.

Surviving are son, Darrell Ward of Trinity; daughters, Gayle W. Bryson of Trinity, Sharron W. Lawrence of Archdale; brother, Howard Elwood Ward of Sophia; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-8:30 p.m. Friday evening, other times at the home of the son, 9420 Archdale Road, Trinity.

Carol N. Jones
DENTON - Carol Nelson Jones, 71, of Shirley Road, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Roy Queen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Orwin, Pa. and a Sales Associate with National Outlet.

Surviving are husband, Robert "Bob" Jones of the home; sons, Robert Jones Jr. of Swainsboro, Ga., Alan Jones of Lexington and Kevin Jones of Thomasville; daughter, Nancy Wilbanks of Rainsville, Ala.; brother, Homer Nelson of Muir, Pa.; sister, Jane Shirley of Hershey, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, 6-8 p.m., Saturday; other times at the home.

BISCOE - Lucille Dunn Deaton, 83, formerly of 405 Greg St., died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at HCR-Manor Care.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Biscoe Cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating.

She was a native of Montgomery County and a homemaker.

Surviving are son, Daniel W. Deaton Jr. of Biscoe; three grandchildren.

The family will be at Phillips Funeral Home, Star, 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Carl Horner
ROBBINS - Carl Horner, 93, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Carthage.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Rock Hill Friends Church, Eagle Springs, with the Rev. Robert Choplin and the Rev. John D. Hussey officiating. Burial will be in Pine Rest Cemetery, Robbins.

He was a Moore County native and a retired sawmiller.

Surviving are daughters, Dorothy Maness of Robbins and Gertrude Phillips of Aberdeen; sons, Gilbert L. Horner Sr. of Southern Pines and Carl Jr. "Pete" Horner of Robbins; sister, Bonnie Horner Williams of Robbins; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins, 7-9 p.m. Friday; other times at the home of Pete Horner, 221 Gardenia Road, Robbins.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Cherry Point Baptist Church, Havelock, with the Rev. Rob Helton officiating.

She was a native of Cobb County, Ga., and a homemaker.

Surviving are son, Tom Ovbey Jr. of Mt. Gilead; brother, W.F. Osburn of Georgia; four grandchildren.

The family will be at the church noon-1 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
