Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Franklinville, where she was a member, with the Rev. Steven Cox officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Christian Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Surry County, the widow of William Bryant Smith and a retired employee of Bossong Hosiery in Asheboro.
Surviving are sisters, Lola Jennings of Cedar Falls, Gertha Hutchens of Asheboro; niece, Diane Farlow-Luck of Asheboro, whom the deceased raised.
The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 7-9 p.m. Monday, other times at the home of Diane Farlow-Luck, 2912 Hickory Drive, Asheboro.

RAMSEUR - Lee Bell Freeman, 84, of 7166 Jordan Road, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Universal Health Care, Ramseur.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Richard Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Center Cross Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker.
Surviving are sisters, Mamie Hare and Nellie Bean, both of Seagrove, Stacy Cornelison, Conie King, Mildred Chrisco, Rachel Smith, all of Asheboro; brothers, Joe Freeman, Dempsey Freeman, Wesley Freeman, all of Asheboro.

PLEASANT GARDEN - Chloe Routh Gregson, 79, died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Climax, where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Millboro, the widow of Wilford Gregson and a graduate of Providence High School. She was a homemaker, the bookkeeper for Gregson Pump Service and a member of the Christian Friendship Sunday School class. She was a former precinct chairperson for Providence Township and president of the Randolph County Home Demonstration Club.
Surviving are daughter, Ann Ingram; son, Jerry Gregson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday.

DENTON - Vernon Bryan Burchette, 69, of Grubb Drive, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at his home.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Lacy Cagle officiating.
He was a native of Forsyth County, a former employee of Burlington Industries, Denton Plant, and a carpenter.
Surviving are wife, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Wylie Burchette of the home; sons, Terry B. Burchette and Ray Burchette, both of Denton; daughter, Delayne B. May of Denton; brother, C.W. Burchette of Thomasville; sisters, Opal Nelson of Eden, Goldie James, Jean Lumley and Jackie Hall, all of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

He was a native of Ridgely, Tenn., a truck driver and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.

She was a native of Clarksburg, W.Va., and retired as a Salvation Army major after 49 years.

She was a native of Randolph County and a former employee with Smart Style for over 30 years. She was a member of the Whynot Wesleyan Singers, a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, the church choir and the Women's Missionary Society.
Surviving are son, Gary Willett of Asheboro; daughter, Laura Pardue of Asheboro; stepsons, Harold Lee Sharp and John Sharp, both of Asheboro, Tony Sharp of Denton; brother, Clair Presnell of Level Cross; sister, Bertha Workman of Denton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was a native of Nacogdoches, Texas, the widow of James L. Ward and a member of Central United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, a member of the Randolph Madames of the Red Hat Society and a volunteer for the Randolph County Special Olympics.

He was a native of Moore County, a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a retired poultry salesman.
