Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bear Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Wachs and the Rev. Darrell Garner officiating.
He was a Chatham County native and a farmer by trade. He was the widower of Pauline Phillips Wilson.
Surviving are sons, Mike Wilson of Bear Creek and Gale Wilson of Staley; sisters, Lea Reives of Goldston and Rachel Hudson of Ramseur; brothers, Leonard Wilson of Franklinville and Hoover Wilson of Siler City; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, 7-9 p.m. Sunday; other times at the family home.
Roy Roger Crutchfield
STAR - Roy Roger Crutchfield, 84, of 372 Owen St., died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the VA Medical Center, Salisbury.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, Star. Burial will follow in Leach Cemetery, Star.
Surviving are wife, Frances Crutchfield of the home; son, Randolph Foster Crutchfield of Goldsboro; sister, Hallie Jones of Foxfire; two grandchildren.
Cora L. Hunt
ASHEBORO - Cora Luck Hunt, 97, formerly of 2403 Southmont Drive, Asheboro, died Saturday, June 21, 2003, at Alamance Health Care Center, Burlington.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Michael Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Friends Meeting Cemetery.
She was a Randolph County native and a homemaker. She was a member of Hopewell Friends Meeting.
Surviving are sons, Nathan Amos Hunt Jr. of Asheboro and David L. Hunt of Sophia; sister, Myrtis Lassiter of Asheboro; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Monday.

ASHEBORO - Thelma Martin Lamar Trotter, 77, of Asheboro, died Saturday, June 21, 2003, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with the Rev. Robert L. Kidd and the Rev. Leslie N. Winslow officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a Randolph County native and retired from Acme-McCrary after 40 years of service. She attended Asheboro Friends Meeting and was the widow of husbands, John William Martin and Walter Eugene Trotter.
Surviving are sons, Vance Edward Lamar and James Terry Martin, both of Asheboro, and John Wayne Martin of Toast; sister, Betty L. Hinshaw of Asheboro; brothers, William A. Lamar of Asheboro and Charles G. Lamar of Trinity; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Monday.

STAR - Jailyn Kaitins Powers, premature daughter of Bobby Powers and Melissa Westing, both of 413 Temple Terrace, died Friday, June 20, 2003, at Stanly Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Leach Cemetery with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating.
Surviving, in addition to parents are sister, Tristin Powers, of the home; grandparents, Judy Powers, and Johnny and Mildred Lewis, all of Star, and Bill Powers of Norwood.

ASHEBORO - Myrtle Chriscoe Nance, 74, of 945 S. Church St., Asheboro, died Monday, June 23, 2003, at Universal Health Care, Ramseur.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur. Burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Wayne Pugh and Dr. Buddy Smith officiating.
She was a native of Randolph County and a retired employee of Rampon Corp.
Surviving are sons, Jesse E. Nance of Ramseur, Charles Edward Nance of Asheboro, Johnny Nance of Aberdeen; daughter, Mary Ruth Nance of Goldsboro; sisters, Carrie C. Greene of Asheboro, Mary L. Caviness of Robbins, Shirley C. Spencer, Dorothy J. Chriscoe and Aileene C. Parks, all of Seagrove; brothers, Jerry L. Chriscoe and Caroll R. Chriscoe, both of Seagrove; three grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home of granddaughter, Tamah Smith, 6045 Union Grove Church Road, Seagrove.

A private service will be held on Wednesday.
He was a native of Mercer County, N.J., a retired painting contractor and a member of Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are wife, Erma Taylor Voorhees of the home; brother, John Voorhees of Bradenton, Fla.

He was a native of Black Wolfe, W.Va., and the retired owner/operator of Asheboro Glass & Mirror.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Culdee Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Chris Bobo officiating.
She was a native of Stanly County.
Surviving are husband, Bob Moore; daughter, Janie M. Taylor of Allen, Texas; son, Robin Moore of West End; sister, Doris A. Blake of Aberdeen; brother, Wade Almond of Aberdeen; four grandchildren.
