He was a native of Alamance County, a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran and a former inspector with Gregson Manufacturing Company.
Surviving are wife, Christine Routh Haithcox of the home; sons, Stephen Randal of the home, Mark Haithcox of Staley, Jeff Haithcox of Franklinville; sister, Dorothy Apple of Randleman; five grandchildren.

He was a native of Davidson County, a retired fixer and pattern design setter with Russ Mont Hosiery Company and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

He was a native of Montgomery County, a retired employee of Jordan Lumber Company, a World War II veteran and a member of American Legion Post 92.

He was a Lincoln County native, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of West Bend United Methodist Church. He was formerly employed with La Marick Beauty System in the Walgreen Beauty Shop, the Duchess and Elite Beauty Salons and then working from his home until his retirement. He was the widower of Ada Munn Sherrill.
Surviving are son, Joseph W. Sherrill of Asheboro; sisters, Nancy Holler of Great Falls, Mont., and Sally S. Caldwell of Lincolnton.
