Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gravel Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Gerald Ward, the Rev. Vincent Adams and the Rev. Ron Chaney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County, a homemaker and a member of Golden Oldies of New Hope.
Surviving are husband, David Bradshaw of the home; sons, Ricky Leonard and Raymond Bradshaw, both of Denton; daughters, Lila Southard and Regina Luther, both of Asheboro; brothers, Eugene Snider, Jack Snider and Dewey Snider, all of Denton, John H. Snider of Asheboro, Clyatt Snider of Lexington; sisters, Colleen Apple of Denton, Rachel Adams of Thomasville, Nancy Snider of Stuart, Va.; eight grandchildren.

DENTON - Alton Phillip Haywood, 86, of N.C. 47, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Lexington Health Care.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Vernon Peterson and the Rev. Charles Dickens officiating. Burial will be in Mt. View Memorial Gardens.
He was a native of Montgomery County, the widower of Esther Garner Haywood, a retired employee of Green Printing Co. in Lexington and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are sons, Gary Haywood of Denton, Kenneth Haywood of Powhatan, Va.; brother, Koy Lee Haywood of Asheboro; sisters, Evelyn Garner-Ingold and Marie Williams, both of Asheboro; five grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Duffield Funeral Home, Duffield, Va., with Evangelist Garry Hood officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, Va.
He was a native of Duffield, Va., a U.S. Air Force veteran and an Army National Guard veteran and a lieutenant with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Correction. He attended Red Hill Memorial Church at Pattonsville.
Surviving are wife, Shirley Jean Young; sons, SSgt. Samuel Scott Young of Mt. Holly, N.J., SSG Douglas Anthony Young of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Cecilia Ann Slater of Crofton, Md.; mother and stepfather, Nelle Ann Young Hawkins and Clyde Hawkins; sister, Juanita Y. He was a native of Randolph County, a 1998 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School, a 2002 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an employee with Randolph Bank & Trust.

ASHEBORO - Geneva Johnson Rich, 86, of Asheboro, died Friday, July 11, 2003.

She was a native of Kentucky, the widow of James M. Rich and a graduate of Maryville College, Mary-ville, Tenn. She was a member of P.T.A.'s in Cranford, N.J., and Pittsburgh, Pa., where she was also member of the Junior League and an actress. She received a master's in education at Rutgers University and taught in inner city secondary schools in Elizabeth, N.J., and Pittsburgh, Pa. She was a member of the English Speaking Union and of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are son, Dr. James M. Rich Jr. of Asheboro; daughters, Hazel Hobbs of New Canaan, Conn., Candy DiSabatino of Wilmington, Del.; sisters, Inez Karsten of Fort Smith, Ark., Dottie Carfield of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Germany and attended Level Cross Baptist Church.

She was a native of Russell County, Va., the widow of Viven Evander Slaughter, a retired seamstress and of the Baptist faith.
