Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at South Stanly Baptist Church, Norwood, where he was a member, with the Rev. Bobby Mowery officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery, Mt. Gilead.
He was a Montgomery County native, a retired water treatment operator and a former member of Mt. Gilead Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are wife, Vicky Lee Gaddy Thompson of the home; sons, Bobby L. Thompson of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Michael Thompson of Troy; daughters, Mary Ann Thompson, Constance Thompson and Leslie Ann Green, all of Troy; sister, Patricia "Patsy" Thompson Brown of Mt. Gilead; five grandchildren.
The family will be at the church following the service, other times at the home.

She was a native of Durham County, a retired employee of Collins & Aikman and a pianist for Community Baptist Church.

He was a Davidson County native and worked as an upholstery supervisor with Clarendon Industries, High Point.

ASHEBORO - Thomas Glenn "Buck" Freeman, 81, of 340 Henry Parrish Road, Asheboro, died Friday, July 18, 2003, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church, with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Service will be conducted by Pastor J.C. Miles. Burial will follow in Ether United Methodist Church Cemetery.
He was a Montgomery County native and retired from Union Carbide. He was a member of Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II.
Surviving are wife, Viola B. Freeman, of the home; daughters, Rose Mary McRae and Kena Sue Hayes, both of Asheboro and Judy Ann Warren of St. Petersburg, Fla; son, Tommy Freeman of Denton; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

He was a Randolph County native, retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation after 30 years of service and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are sons, Cecil Hall of Asheboro and Robert Hall of Fayetteville; daughter, Phyllis Hall of Asheboro; brother, Sidney Hall of Asheboro; sisters, Dorothy Hall and Leatha Mae Spencer, both of Asheboro; five grandchildren.

He was a native of Lumberton and was employed with Southeastern Freight Lines for 15 years. He was a member of Cathedral of His Glory in Greensboro and a former volunteer for the Level Cross Fire Department.

She was a Randleman native and the widow of Emory C. Rice.

He was a Sophia native and a member of Marlboro Friends Meeting. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and retired from Globe Furniture, High Point.
