He was a native of Randolph County, a truck driver for Ampace Freightlines and a member of Harvest Field Baptist Church.
Surviving are wife, June Smith Overton of the home; son, the Rev. Faron Overton of Asheboro; sister, Minnie Hopkins of Asheboro; brothers, Walter Overton, Lacy Overton, both of Asheboro, Clyde Overton of Moyock; two grandchildren.

She was a native of Randolph County and retired from First National Bank after 24 years.

He was a native of Randolph County, employed with Duke Power Company for 15 years, a volunteer with Level Cross Fire Department, a former CPR instructor with American Red Cross and former owner of Toomes Garage.

She was a native of Guilford County, the widow of Roy Greeson, a homemaker, flower vendor at Greensboro Farmers' Market and was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Greensboro and the Bertha Work Sunday School class.

She was a native of Cambria County, Pa., was the manager of South Main Laundry in Denton for 30 years, was a Sunday School teacher at her church and was a graduate of Nanty-Glo High School in Pennsylvania.
Surviving are daughter, Ruth D. Hulin of Denton; brother, Charles Davis of Norton, Ohio; sister, Sally Snider of Lexington; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
