She was a native of Alexander County, the widow of William Hugh "Bill" Pritchard, retired from A.J. Schneierson & Co. and was an organist, pianist and choir member at her church.

He was a native of Randolph County, the widower of Lucille Crisp Auman, a 1928 graduate of Seagrove High School and a 1932 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was owner of Seagrove Lumber Company, active in several other Randolph County businesses and was a member of the Board of Directors of First National Bank for 30 years.
Surviving are wife, Mary Lee Auman; daughter, Anne Brown of Pittsboro; sons, Howard F. Auman Jr., Dr. William T. Auman, both of Greensboro; stepdaughter, Gail Metro of Roanoke, Va.; stepson, Lt. Col. Richard Metro of West Point, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
