Lewis Howard Hoskins, 83, formerly of 1308 Cedar Falls Road, Asheboro, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at Asheboro Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at C.C. Hodges Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Emmanuel Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
He was a native of Randolph County and a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are brothers, Edgar Hoskins Jr. and Wade Hoskins, both of Asheboro.

ELLERBE - Ethel Holder Brigman, 86, of 130 Brigman Road, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Denny Glennon officiating. Burial will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.
She was a native of Chesterfield, S.C., a retired winder operator with Richmond Yarns Inc., a homemaker, a member of Sunday School and the United Methodist Women at her church and the widow of Arthur Brigman.
Surviving are sons, Legrand Brigman and Jimmy Zack Brigman, both of Ellerbe; daughters, Patty Jean Cook of Asheboro, Sarah Maddry of Camden, S.C., Nan Blackmon of Franklinville and Sally Shelton and Jacky LaMonds, both of Ellerbe; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
