Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Steven Loy and the Rev. Raymond Webb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Orange County, the widow of Lawrence David Sparks and retired from Collins Aikman.
Surviving are daughters, Judy S. Hobgood of Mebane, Lynda S. Smith of Randleman, Joyce S. Manuel of Graham; sons, David Larry Sparks of Burlington, Alvin Ray Sparks of Gibsonville; brother, Claudie Cates of Graham; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Randolph County, retired from Troy Lumber Company and attended Flint Hill Church of God.

She was a native of Montgomery County, the widow of William B. Ewing, a member of Candor Presbyterian Church, in the restaurant business in Candor for 60 years and where she owned and operated Sandhills Cafe for almost 50 years until her retirement.
Surviving are daughter, Betty Ann Lynch of Candor; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
