Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Edmonson and the Rev. Boyd Byerly officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
She was a native of Dublin County, retired from General Electric and from Black & Decker, and attended Asheboro Church of God, Glad Tidings Freewill Baptist Church and First Assembly of God.
Surviving are husband, Ernest M. Price of the home; daughter, Brenda Price Hooker of Asheboro; brother, Leonard Newsome Jr. of Lebanon, Tenn.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

WASHINGTON, N.C. - Christine "Chris" Poe Moffitt, 54, of 500 Anderson Road, Smallwood, formerly of Randolph County, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Memorial service was 11 a.m. Saturday at Paul Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Gary Arnold officiating.
She was a native of Brisbane, Australia, a graduate of William Ragsdale High School and of Beaufort County Community College, a registered nurse at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, 1997 Nurse of the Year, and the widow of Arthur Boyd Moffitt.
Surviving are son, Michael David Moffitt of Raleigh; daughter, Julie Suzanne Moffitt of Florida; mother, Enid Mitchell Poe of New Bern; brother, William "Eddie" Edgar Poe of Gretna, Va.; sister, Julie Poe West of New Bern.

GOLDSTON - Reberta Burke Phillips, 74, of 6884 Goldston-Glendon Road, died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at Manor Care Nursing and Rehabilitation in Southern Pines.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Glendon Christian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Robert Yandle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Chatham County, a homemaker and the widow of Lee Clyde Phillips Sr.
Surviving are sons, Lee Clyde Phillips Jr. and Charles B. Phillips, both of Bear Creek, and David Phillips of Goldston; daughters, Dorothy P. Hart of Sanford and Linda P. He was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church and a former employee of Randolph Sheltered Workshop.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Smith and Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City, with the Rev. Walter Jones and the Rev. Womack Keck officiating. Burial will be in Chatham Memorial Park.
She was a native of Chatham County, retired from A.J. Schneirson, a member of Brookdale Baptist Church, where she was in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and the Senior Citizens Club, and the widow of John G. Truelove.
Surviving are daughters, Faye T. Moore of Burlington and Janice T. Ream of Winston-Salem; stepmother, Thelma Stutts of Siler City; sister, Alice S. Frazier of Siler City; half-sisters, Mary Helen Stutts and Blanche S. Burchett, both of Siler City, and Virginia S. Birchett of Mebane; stepsister, Mildred Hart of Siler City; stepbrother, Ralph Gaines of Asheboro; two grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild.
