Museum of History Associates, the Wake Forest University Club and Centenary United Methodist Church.
Surviving are husband, George William Joyner Jr.; son, George William Joyner III of Charlotte; daughter, Sara Peyton Cottle Joyner of Raleigh; mother, Mrs. Oran J. Cottle of Raleigh; sister, Sally Cottle Arnold of Raleigh.

She was a native of West End, an usher and a communion steward at her church and a member of United Methodist Women.
