He was a native of Randolph County, a retired sawmill worker and attended Long Hill Baptist Church.

ROBBINS - Edith Davis Allred, 76, of 2016 Browns Mill Road, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

She was a native of Moore County, the widow of Eugene Allred and a homemaker.

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Ethel Pearl Gray Lineberry, 96, died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at her home in Savannah, Ga.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Carter Funeral Home, Richmond Hill, Ga. A funeral service will also be 3 p.m. Monday at Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church in Randleman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randleman, a homemaker and attended Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Virginia Ruth Thomas of Winter Haven, Fla., Doris Gray Bebe of Savannah, Ga.; sisters, Kyvel Feree, Ruby Gray, Jessie Gray, all of Randleman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home in Georgia 1-3 p.m. Sunday and at the church 1-3 p.m. Monday.

Thelma Roberta Deaton Thornburg, 86, of 1196 Sheridan Drive, Asheboro, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Central United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. William Christopher Thore and the Rev. James Marion officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a native of Montgomery County, retired from Asheboro City Schools cafeterias after 23 years, a volunteer for the Salt Box for 22 years and was a member, a president and secretary of the Friendly Sunday School Class at her church.
Surviving are husband, Holton Thornburg; sons, Gary Thornburg of Rock Hill, S.C., Farrell Thornburg of Asheboro; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
