Lillian M. Seaton, 81; service out of state
Lillian M. Seaton, 81, of Sea Gate, died Monday at home.
Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home, Cobleskill, N.Y., with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Summit Cemetery, Summit, N.Y.
Formerly of Summit, N.Y., Mrs. Seaton and her late husband operated the Summit General Store until they retired in 1992.
She was the founding member of the Summit Fire Department Auxiliary, a certified EMT instructor and a swimming instructor at the Summit Lake Swimming Class.
She is survived by two daughters, Fern Kovac of Summit, N.Y., and Lynn Ann Hubel of Newport; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home in Cobleskill, N.Y.
Memorial donations may be made to the Summit Fire Department or the Summit Rescue Squad, Summit, N.Y. 12175.

Beulah `Tootsie' Hamilton; funeral set for today
Beulah "Tootsie" Hamilton, 69, of Harkers Island, died at Taylor Extended Care Center in Sea Level.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Davis with the Rev. Richard Wade, the Rev. David Adams and the Rev. Henry VanKluyve officiating.
Burial will follow at Oscar Davis Cemetery.
She was a mmber of Huggins Memorial Baptist Church on Harkers Island and a past member of First Baptist Church in Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Garland Hamilton of Harkers Island; two daughters, Delaine Hamilton of Harkers Island and Pam Waters and her husband, Ricky Waters, of Harkers Island; a sister, Audrey D. Salter of Davis; a brother, George Davis of Marshallberg; and two grandchildren, Stephen and Odessa Waters.

Lynn M. Kurek, 48; funeral set for today
Lynn M. Kurek, 48, of Amherst, N.Y., died at her home on Thursday.
She was the sister of U.S. Marine Corps Ret. Capt. John J. Kurek, of Atlantic Beach.
Her funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Amigone Funeral Home, Inc. in Buffalo, N.Y.
Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo.
She was the daughter of Donald J. Kurek, of West Seneca, N.Y., and the late Josephine Kurek, and was the step-daughter of Sharon Kurek of West Seneca.
She is also survived by one niece and two nephews and a companion, Judy Milbrand of Amherst, N.Y.
Contributions may be made in Ms. Kurek's memory to Hospice Foundation, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, N.Y.

Clarence Burton Lockey, 69; funeral was held Friday
Clarence Burton "Buster" Lockey, of Jamaica Plans, Mass., died Wednesday.
His funeral was held Friday at the Holy Trinity Transfiguration Monastery in Brookline, Mass.
Burial was in the monastery cemetery.
The son of the late Warren L. Lockey and the late Annie M. Lockey, Mr. Lockey was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Polagaris Lockey; a daughter, Mitzi Lockey; a stepson, Charlie Polagaris; a sister, Bernice Lockey Millis; and a brother, Gordon M. Lockey.
He also has stepchildren from a former marriage.
Arrangements were handled in Massachusetts.

Alan Craig Roberts, 69; services to be Monday
Alan Craig Roberts, 69, of Emerald Isle, died Thursday at Craven Regional Medical Center, New Bern.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Crystal Coast Assembly of God, where he was a member, with pastor H.C. Hardesty officiating.
Burial will follow in Seaside Memorial Park.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Browning Roberts of the home; a son, Alan Craig Roberts, Jr. of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a daughter, Kathy Roberts Williamson of Swansboro; a brother, Gary Roberts of Chula Vista, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Alan Craig Roberts, III, Angela Marie Williamson, Lara Roberts and Wyatt Thomas Williamson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro.

Lillian Conway Hendrix, 89; service to be held today
Lillian Conway Hendrix, 89, of Greenville, died Thursday in Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
Her funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Wilkerson Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
A native of Carteret County, she and her husband settled in Greenville, in 1952.
She was a seamstress and had worked at Steinbeck's Men's Shop and Brodys.
She was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Greenville, and the Women's Ministry.
She was a former member of Grace Free Will Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.
She is survived by a son, Willie C. "Bill" Hendrix, Jr. of Greenville; a sister, Julia Abel of Goldsboro; four grandchildren; one step-grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Charlie Thomas Lewis, 85; service to be Thursday
Charlie Thomas "Hog Bear" Lewis, 85, of Beaufort, died Sunday at Craven Regional Medical Center, New Bern.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Randy Sherron officiating.
Burial will be in Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mr. Lewis served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed with Civil Service at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point as a firefighter prior to retirement.
He is survived by a daughter, Laura Lewis Austin of Morehead City; a son, Lenton Lewis and wife Brenda of Beaufort; three sisters, Pearl Nelson of Morehead City and Annie Mae White and Kathleen Roundtree, both of Beaufort; three brothers, George D. Lewis and Floyd Earl Lewis, both of Beaufort, and Bill G. Lewis of Mill Creek; four grandchildren, Malissa D. Lewis, Christian Knight, Trina Gibson and John S. Austin; and six great-grandchildren, James M. Lewis, Randi S. Bell, Kameron Gwynn, Dalton Knight, Bianca Austin and Richard Alan Lambert-Austin.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. of Morehead City.
