Hopfer
Jason Wayne Hopfer, 20, of Maysville died Sunday.
He was the grandson of Arthur and Phyllis Hopfer of Swansboro.
Services will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with the Rev. Bobby Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park in Swansboro.
Other survivors include his father, Donald Hopfer of Maysville; his mother, Vanessa Rose Hopfer of Wilmington; a half-brother, Joel S. Smith, Jr. of Wilmington; and his maternal grandfather, Fred O. Owen Gurry of Riverside, Calif.
The family will receive friends tonight (Wednesday) from 7 to 9 at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

King
Clarence King, 74, of Cedar Point and formerly of Kinston, died Friday at Carteret General Hospital.
Private services will take place at a later date.
He was the owner of King's Country Kitchen in Swansboro, and served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include two step-daughters and several nieces and nephews.

Kennedy
Cleo Kennedy, 73, of Hubert, died Friday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Services were Monday at Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. William Ray Davis officiating.
Burial followed at Onslow Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Lou Kennedy of the home; a son, Tommie H. Kennedy of Hubert; a daughter, Patsy Lain of Jacksonville; six stepsons, Troy R. Thompson, Kenneth R. Thompson, Timmie M. Thompson and Marty O. Thompson, all of Beulaville, Tommie E. Thompson of Ayden and Tammie L. Thompson of Clinton; four stepdaughters, Lillie A. Crumpler, Hattie F. Villanueva, Betty L. McDonald and Penny J. Rognlie, all of Beulaville; 38 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Burkhart
Dorothy Mae Burkhart, 84, died Thursday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
She was the mother of Richard B. Burkhart of Hubert.
Services were Sunday at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Turner officiating.
Burial followed at Onslow Memorial Park.
She was a member of Kathryn Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church and an active member of the Golden Age Club and AARP.
Other survivors include two other sons, Floyd C. Burkhart of Apple Valley, Calif., and Robert L. Burkhart of Jacksonville; a sister, Mildred Ziff of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Cruz Colon, 104, of Hubert, died May 24 at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
No services are planned.
Survivors include three daughters, Judith Montalvo of Bronx, N.Y., Alba Montalvo of Hubert, and Amada Montalvo of Manhattan, N.Y.; a son, Aramis Montalvo of New York; and 16 grandchildren.

Hillebrand
Teresa Lynn Rogers Hillebrand, 39, of Jacksonville, died Sunday at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
She was the sister of Kathryn Rowe and George "Corky" Rogers, III, both of Hubert.
Services will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. at Infant of Prague Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Davis officiating.
Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.
Other survivors include her husband, Shane Hillebrand; two sons, Anthony Palma and Jonathan Hillebrand, both of Jacksonville; her parents, George Rogers, Jr. of Golden Valley, Calif., and Gladys G. Frye Rogers of Jacksonville; and two other sisters, Carolyn R. Beckman of Petersburg, Neb., and Sandra Merritt of Jacksonville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight (Wednesday) at Johnson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with a Rosary set for 7 p.m.

Charlotte Cornelisse Moseman, 82, of Jacksonville, died Sunday at her home.
She was the mother of Karen Smith of Hubert.
A memorial service will take place Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with the Rev. Vergil Allen Socks officiating.
Other survivors include two sons, Percy C. Moseman of Snow Hill and Robert S. Moseman of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Margaret Jacobs Bryant, 71, of Hubert, died Saturday at her home.
Graveside services were Monday at Seaside Memorial Park with the Rev. James Oliver officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Williams L. "Bill" Bryant.
Survivors include a son, Thomas O'Neal of Alpharetta, Ga.; three sisters, Elizabeth Ashley and Marie Jacobs, both of Durham, and Lacy Martin of Hartwell, Ga.; and two grandsons.

Robert Merrill Russell, 64, of Cape Carteret, died Saturday at Duke Hospital.
Services were Tuesday at Glad Tidings Church in Morehead City.
He was a retired businessman and a member of Glad Tidings Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Davis Russell of Cape Carteret; two daughters, Delores Ann Russell Harris of Louisburg, and Tami Lee Russell of Morehead City; a son, R. Alex Russell of Bunn; six sisters, Alice Ebron cherry and Mabel Swinson, both of Morehead City, Gertrude Paul of Derby, N.Y., Ann Quinn Wilson of Wallace, Dorothy Nichols of Cape Carteret, and Dixie Smith of Bar Harbor; three brothers, Dillard Russell of Richlands, Roy Russell of Columbia, S.C., and Ronnie Russell of Lumberton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
