TAYLORSVILLE - Cameo Phillips Teague, 19, of Bethlehem, died Aug. 9, 2000, at Frye Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health.
Born Nov. 18, 1980, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of Eddie Phillips and Sheila Lail of Bethlehem.
She was employed by Clayton Marcus Furniture.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Tyreek C. King; maternal great-grandfather, Johnny Jones; maternal great-grandmother, Etta Louise Lail; and step-grandfather, Robert L. Herman.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Micheal Teague; a daughter, Marisa J. Teague of Bethlehem; a brother, Wayne “Eddie” Phillips of Bethlehem; two sisters, Angelia S. Huff of Atlanta, Ga., and Margie Lynch of Bethlehem; two grandparents, Ralph E. Lail, Sr. of Bethlehem, and Chris Herman of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; paternal grandparents, Cletus and Bobbie Smith of Bethlehem; a maternal great-grandfather, Gaither Lee Lail of Pellcare Nursing Home in Hickory; a maternal great-grandmother, Laura Frye of Startown; and a niece.
The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Billy Honeycutt and Allan Mullins at 2 p.m. Saturday at Promised Land Ministries.
Burial will be in Taylorsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jim Craig, Ralph Lail, Terry Phillips, Ronnie Church and Justin McClain.
Honorary pallbearer will be Heath Eaton.

TAYLORSVILLE - Daisy Wellman Gainey, 80, of County Line Road in Stony Point, died Aug. 9, 2000, at her residence.
Born March 9, 1920, in Alexander County, she was a daughter of the late Chris and Beulah Morrison Wellman.
A member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church, she retired as a nursing assistant with West Point Military Academy Hospital in West Point, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gainey; a brother, Clarence Wellman; and a sister, Irene Holbert.
Survivors include a daughter, LaVoun Perdue of Hoover, Ala.; a brother, Howard Wellman of Stony Point; four sisters, Mary Hodges, Geraldine Keaton and Christine Dye of Stony Point, and Eutrilla Williams of Hiddenite; and two grandchildren, Ellon C. Gainey and Phyllis Perdue Hull of Smyrna, Ga.
The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Ron Karriker and Sterling Howard at 11 a.m. Saturday at her church.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

LENOIR - Alma Jean Friesland Miller, 61, of Ralph Winchester Road, died Aug. 9, 2000, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.
Born June 29, 1939, in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mae Cornett Friesland.
A homemaker, she retired from Morganton Chair Company.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Canipe.
Survivors include a son, Timothy Patrick McLean of Sugar Grove; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Greer of Lenoir; four brothers, Earl Cornett of Mooresville, Bobby Friesland of Rose Pine, La., Tommy Friesland and John Friesland of Lenoir; two sisters, Christine Kincaid and Geraldine Henson of Lenoir; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. Marvin Ford at 11 a.m. today in Littlejohn United Methodist Church Cemetery.

TAYLORSVILLE - Mozelle Frances Hubbard Wallace, 88, of Taylorsville, died Aug. 9, 2000, at her residence.
Born Jan. 1, 1912, in Alexander County, she was a daughter of the late Carlie and Pearl David Hubbard.
A member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Parks Wallace; two sons, Kenneth Ray Wallace and Clyde Wallace; two daughters, Gaynell Decker and Linda Sue Braswell; and three sisters, Elsie Childers, Dorothy Childers and Edith Treadway.
Survivors include two sons, Everett Wallace and Junior Robert Wallace of Taylorsville; six daughters, Graceteen Childers, Edith Deal, Bernice Baker, Ruth Allen, Kay Roberts and Diane Williams of Taylorsville; a brother, Willis Hubbard of Taylorsville; two sisters, Cecil Bentley and Opal Johnson of Taylorsville; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Darren Lambert, Lander Hefner and Cecil Lovelace at 2 p.m. Saturday at her church.

Born in Stanton, Va., she was a daughter of the late John C. and Sally Love Coffee Arnold.
She was a homemaker.

VALDESE - Mildred “Midge” Newcomb Knox Blackhall, 91, of Lititz, Pa., formerly of Valdese, died Aug. 8, 2000, at Landis Nursing Home in Lititz, Pa.
Born July 5, 1908, in Fort Scott, Kan., she was a daughter of the late Harvey T. and Viola Boone Newcomb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mowart Porter Blackhall; a son, Paul H. Knox; and a brother, Raymond Newcomb.
Survivors include six grandchildren, Kathleen Cooper of Westtown, N.Y., Robin Schreiter of Lititz, Pa., Paul S. Knox of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Paul Reichers of Coconut Creek, Fla., Troy Reichers of West Chester, Ohio, and Arnon Reichers of Worthington, Ohio.

Born July 8, 1903, in Alexander County, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Elizabeth Oliver Stafford.
A charter member of Smyrna Baptist Church, she was a member of the Ladies Adult Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol M. Bowman; a son, Gurthie Bowman; a daughter, Helen Fox; six brothers, Hall Stafford, Issac Stafford, Vance Stafford, Erastus Stafford, Ralph Stafford and Chase Stafford; a sister, Lula Stafford; a grandson, Mark Dyson; and a daughter-in-law, Arcola Bowman.

A member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, she was a former employee of Allis-Chalmers and Pogue's Department Store of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Murphy Mull; a brother, Raymond C. Kary; and a number of nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Whittington at 7 p.m. today at Sossoman Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
The family will remain at the cemetery after the service.
