FT. COLLINS, CO. -- Olga Caroline Lisenmeyer Castor, 101, of Ft. Collins, Co. and formerly of Kannapolis, died Tuesday, September 11, 2001, in Ft. Collins.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Center Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The Rev. Lonnie Karriker will officiate.
Born Feb. 8, 1900 in Pittsburgh, PA., she was the daughter of the late Charles Lisenmeyer and Annie Stoltz Lisenmeyer.
She was a homemaker and a member of Center Grove Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Bradshaw DeKime Castor, who died on October 3, 1968.
Survivors include her son, the Rev. Frederick Castor and his wife, Robin, of Ft. Collins, Co.

SALISBURY -- Sabrina Shay Cowan, 44, of 1406 Longview Ave., Salisbury, died Sunday, September 23, 2001, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lily's Chapel Church of God in Salisbury.
Entombment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.

Ms. Monica Davis
CONCORD -- Monica Lewis Davis, 44, of 187 Georgia Street SW, Concord, died Monday, September 24, 2001, at her home of natural causes.
The funeral will be noon Friday at St. James Lutheran Church.
Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Elder Nathaniel Davis will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the church between 11 a.m. and noon prior to the service.
At other times, they will receive at the home on Georgia Street.
Born July 14, 1957 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of Jeweuise Harris Davis and the late Robert Lee Davis, Sr.
She worked for Cabarrus County Dept. of Corrections as a probations and parole officer.
She was a member of First Primitive Baptist Church, the Eastern Stare, certified with the Republican Party, Planning and Zoning Board of Cabarrus County, Voter Registration and a member of the N.C. Law Enforcement Association.
Survivors include her beloved mother, Jeweuise Harris Davis; a sister, Teresa Jeweuise Davis of the home; two brothers, Robert Lee Davis, Jr. of Concord and William Edward Harris of Durham; two uncles, Rev. Howard Harris and wife Neta of Mt. Gilead, and Charles Harris of the home; one nephew, Robert Lee Davis, III of Gaston County; one great-aunt; and other relatives and many, many special friends.

CONCORD -- Arthur Richard Fischer, 66, of 14 Union Street N., Concord, died Tuesday, September 25, 2001, at NorthEast Medical Center.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Carolina Memorial Park.

The body will lie in state at Wilkinson Funeral Home until the funeral hour.
Born June 28, 1935 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Edith Nicklaus Fischer.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Ryan Fischer; and two brothers, Harry Fischer and Edward Alfred Fischer.
Survivors include his nephew, Harry Lee Fischer and wife Debbie; niece, Patty Sue Fischer; and great-nephew, Michael Fischer.

KANNAPOLIS -- Mary Louise Furr, 80, of 1214 Thomas Ave., Kannapolis, died Tuesday, September 25, 2001, at Big Elm Nursing Center.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord.
Burial will follow at Cold Water Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Revs. James Masters and Rodney Quesenberry will officiate.

Born Aug. 7, 1921 in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Williams and Belle Williams.
She was employed by Pillowtex, Plant 6 as a weaver.
She attended Homeland Baptist Church and was a long time resident of the Roberta community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis William Furr.
Survivors include her son, Billy Ray Furr and his wife Judy of Kannapolis; a daughter, Barbara and he husband Tim Tucker of Concord; six grandchildren, Angie Raeker, Tracie Hartsell, Melanie Edsell, Kathy Odom, Kelly Wetter, and Brent Furr; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. James Henry Jackson
KANNAPOLIS -- James Henry Jackson, 77, of 2104 Glenwood Street, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, September 26, 2001, at NorthEast Medical Center after being seriously ill for 3 weeks.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The Revs. Richard Rhoades and Hoke Ritchie will officiate.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home on Glenwood Street.
Born Dec. 28, 1923 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late James Watson Jackson and Illa Archie Jackson. He was employed as a supervisor with Cannon Mills Co., Plant #1, Bleachery Dept. and worked for the company for 45 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church in Kannapolis, where he was active in all phases of church activities including church council. He was a life time resident of the area and worked part-time at Terry Products, Inc. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II in the 127th Engineering Division in the European Theater of Operations.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Cruse Jackson; a son, Tim Jackson and wife Huyla of Kannapolis; two grandsons, Brad Jackson, a student at Appalachian State University and Hunter Jackson, a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and several nieces.

Mr. L.B. McEachern, Sr.
CONCORD -- Mr. L.B. McEachern, Sr., 94, formally of Concord Assisted Living Center, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at the Brian Center.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Carolina Memorial Park, with Dr. Kathryn Baine officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service, and will be at 1503 12th Fairway Drive, Concord, the remaining time.
Mr. McEachern was a native of Concord, N.C., born April 9, 1907 to the late John and Cleone Bunn McEachern.
Mr. McEachern started his career with the A.B. Pounds Coal and Ice Company, then with American Service Company, and later, was the owner of Concord Ice and Fuel Company.
Mr. McEachern was a member of St. James Lutheran Church where he was a life member and Honorary Elder.
He was an active member of the Concord Lions Club and served as a past president.
He was a member for the Salvation Army board and was a past Chairman.
He was a member of the board of Cabarrus County Boys and Girls Club and was a past Vice-Chairman.
He was a past president of the Concord Merchants Association, and a member of the N.C. Ice Association and was a past president.
He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and received it's highest honor, The Silver Beaver Award.
Mr. McEachern was predeceased by his first wife Ella Bost McEachern.
Mr. McEachern is survived by his wife, Elizabeth McClellan McEachern; a son, L.B. "Buddy" McEachern, Jr. and wife Joan of Concord; a daughter, Carolyn Warren of Naperville, IL.; step-daughter, Laura Alley of Concord and step-son George McClellan of Belmont, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Ritchie and Lyn McEachern of Concord, Ben Warren, Banks Warren and Tim Warren of Naperville, IL., Britt and Keith Alley of Concord, and George McClellan, Jr. and Ann Brittain McClellan of Belmont; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Laughlin of Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews.

MAIDEN -- Bonnie Louise Parker, 75, of 406 W. Main Street, Maiden, N.C., died Saturday, September 22, 2001, at the Abernathy Center.
The funeral was Monday at 3:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.
Burial followed at the Maiden City Cemetery with the Rev. Sarah Kalish officiating.
The family received friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Goodin-Drum Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were "The Wednesday Night Rook Crowd," Tom Brown, Emmitt Bumgarner, Dennis Gibson, Danny Harbinson, Joel Shuford, Kirk Wentz, and Rick Wentz.

Born Sept. 7, 1926 in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Ruffin Canipe and Mary Ella McCall Canipe.
She went to Cornelius Elementary and graduated from Maiden High School in 1944.
She was a seamstress employed by Ethan Allen Furniture and attended First United Methodist Church in Maiden.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, 127, of the Womens Auxiliary Maiden Fire Department, of the American Legion 240 Women's Auxiliary, and of the United Methodist Women and the Lamplighters Circle.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest G. Parker, who she married on Dec. 7, 1948; four sons, Rick Parker, John "Butch Parker, K. Todd and wife Rhonda Parker, all of Maiden, and Rev. Ronnie W. Parker of Charlotte; a grandson, Jesse Wayne Parker of Maiden; and a sister, Virginia Gilbert of Lenoir.

KANNAPOLIS -- David Samuel Sechler, 73, of 1308 Washington Lane, Kannapolis, died Saturday, September 29, 2001, at his home after declining health for several months.

Born Nov. 15, 1927 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late W.L. Sechler and the late Mary Elizabeth Shinn Sechler.
He was employed with Kluttz Construction Company in Charlotte as a sub-contractor for many years.
He was a member of Skyland Baptist Church in Kannapolis, and was a lifetime resident of the area.
He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict.
He was a life member of the V.F.W. Poston-Perkins Post 8989.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel M. Sechler and his second wife, Ola D. Sechler.
Survivors include his wife, Dot Chastain Sechler; three step-daughters, Becky Wagoner and her husband Lloyd of Landis, Judy Hardister and her husband Bucky of Brownsville, Tenn., and Virginia Watson and her husband Bobby of Salisbury; three step-sons, Roy Willard and his wife Sheryl of Concord, and James Fink and his wife Hattie and Raymond Fink and his wife Lynn, all of Kannapolis; a sister, Betty Ritchie and her husband Rev. Hoke Ritchie; and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
