Mrs. Kathleen Baucom
KANNAPOLIS -- Kathleen Fletcher Baucom, 90, of 535 Camrose Circle, died Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at Transitional Health Services in Kannapolis.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Concord, at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Neal Brantley, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends before the service between 12:30 and 2 p.m.
Born Sept. 13, 1911, in Union County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Sadie Fletcher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred F. Baucom.
Survivors include her sons, Ben W. Baucom and wife Virginia, of Chattanooga, TN, Latta F. Baucom and wife Angela of Davidson; four grandchildren, Virginia Kathleen Luckie and husband Thomas of Ramona, CA, Elizabeth Campbell and husband Douglas of Ooltewah, TN, Martin Baucom of Chapel Hill, Brian Baucom and wife Emily of Chapel Hill; and three great-grandchildren, Carley and Kelsey Luckie of Ramona, CA and Emma Campbell of Ooltewah, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a lifelong member, 3522 Secrest Short Cut Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
Mrs. Christine Berridge
KANNAPOLIS -- Christine Carol Hamlow Berridge, 35, of 8665 Dogwood Drive, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, on arrival at NorthEast Medical Center.
She had been in declining health for three years, but the death was unexpected.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist Church. The Rev. Sloop will officiate.
Friends may visit with the family at the home on Dogwood Drive.
Born July 18, 1966, in Cerritos, Calif., she was the daughter of Anthony Cinardo and the late Joyceline Corbin Cinardo.
She was retired due to disability in 1998 having been a dental hygienist before becoming a homemaker and an animal lover.
She was a Baptist and a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
She had been a resident for eight years having moved here from San Diego, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyceline Cinardo and her grandmother, Evelyn Hamlow.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Berridge; a son, Joshua John Berridge of the home; two brothers, Ron Martin of El Cajon, Calif., and Terry Martin of Los Angeles, Calif.; her father, Anthony Cinardo of Bell Flower, Calif., and many loving pets.

Mr. Charles Christy
KANNAPOLIS -- Charles Joe Christy, 72, of 520 E. 20th Street, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at NorthEast Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Enochville Church of God in Kannapolis.
The Rev. David Shoemake will officiate.
Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Whitley's Funeral Home.
At other times, the family will be at the home.
Born Aug. 4, 1929, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Joe Christy and the late Daphne McLain Christy.
He was retired from Cannon Mills Co. Plant 1 Wash Cloth Department.
He also worked part-time at Baker's Creek Park.
He was a member of Enochville Church of God, and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Plott Christy; four sons, Rick Coker, Wayne Christy, Todd Christy and Tommy Christy, all of Kannapolis; a daughter, Tonya Christy Anderson of Kannapolis; two sisters, Eloise Watts of Kannapolis, and Marcelle Elder of China Grove; and five grandchildren, Chrissy Coker, Amie and Amanda Christy, and Nikki and Reagan Anderson.

KANNAPOLIS -- Evelyn Pauline Harbison Christy, 70, of 8119 Smith Road, Kannapolis, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The Rev. David Shoemake will officiate.

Born Sept. 23, 1931, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late William Roy Harbison and the late Lillie Mae H. Reynolds.
She was retired from Cannon Mills Co., Plant No. 1, Sewing Room.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Bryson Christy, who died Jan. 25, 1987; and one grandchild, Shannon Owens.
Survivors include three children, Vickie White and her husband Lonnie of Kannapolis, Rick Christy of Mooresville, and Terri Stancil of Kannapolis; and four grandchildren, Shane Owens, Christie White, Clint Christy and Brandon Stancil.

LANDIS -- Lacie Adams Davis, 94, of 407 South Beaver St., Landis, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001 at NorthEast Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The Rev. Andrea Redard will officiate.

Born May 5, 1907, in Alexander County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late John Anderson Adams and Cora Adams McCombs.
She was retired from Cannon Mills sewing room and was a member of Grace Covenant Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fonzo Milton Davis; a son, Claude Davis and five sisters.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Horace (Betty) Robinson of Landis, Marion Davis of St. Augustine, Fla., Gladys Alexander of Kernersville, Mrs. Harvey (Eleanor) Sigmon of Camden, Del.; a sister, Ruby Foster of Kannapolis; a brother, James W. Adams of Texas, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Raymond Fink
CONCORD -- Raymond Lee Fink, 48, of 2657 Saddlewood Circle, Concord, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, after a brief illness.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Father John Smyth and the Rev. Darren Yow will officiate.

Born Nov. 14 1953, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Earl Raymond Fink and the late Ola Fink Seckler.
Mr. Fink was an assistant Scout Master with Troop 173, Harrisburg Presbyterian Church.
He was employed as a Body Shop Manager with Beasley-Cross Chevrolet and had previously worked for B&R Body Shop in Charlotte.
He was a member of the Piedmont British Motor Club.
He was a 1971 graduate of A.L. Brown High School.
Survivors include his wife, Lynne Vincoli Fink of the home; a son, Spencer Fink of the home; a daughter, Lauren Fink of the home; a brother, James Fink of Kannapolis; a sister, Mrs. Bobby "Virginia" Watson of Salisbury; a niece, Jodie Yow of Davidson; and a nephew, Kaleb Watson of Salisbury.

GOLD HILL -- Mazalee Chapman Galloway, 95, of Gold Hill, died Thurdsay, November 14, 2001 at NorthEast Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Powle's Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Gold Hill Cemetery.
The Rev. Toney Parsons, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Gold Hill, will officiate.

Born May 14, 1906, in Darlington County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Nora Belch Chapman and Charlie Chapman.
She attended school in Hartsville, S.C., and worked at Cannon Mills Plant 4 in the weaving room for 40 years before retiring.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gold Hill.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Jackson Galloway, who died Dec. 24, 1961, and her husband, Troy Edward "T.E." Galloway who died March 8, 1991.
Survivors include six sons, Jesse Edward Galloway of Monroe, Bernard Galloway of Rockwell, Lester Galloway of Richfield, Earl Galloway of Richfield, Allen Galloway of Hartsville, S.C., Darrell Galloway of Rockwell; five daughters, Ophelia G. Morgan of Gold Hill, Helen G. Brady of Gold Hill, Lavada G. Doby of Misenheimer, Gaynell G. Funderburke of Kannapolis, Edith G. Almond of Albemarle; two sisters, Annie Mae Lewis of Hartsville, S.C., Willie Ghones of Hartsville, S.C.; 59 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Bobby Ray Holder
KANNAPOLIS -- Mr. Bobby Ray Holder, Jr., 31, of 2105 Pennsylvania Ave., Kannapolis, went home to be with our Lord on Nov. 13 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla., after four years of declining health and one month of serious illness.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at South Concord Church of God.
The Rev. Greg Sloop will officiate. Burial has not been determined yet.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel.
At other times, the family will be at the home on Pennsylvania Ave.
Born Jan. 30, 1970, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of Bobby R. Holder, Sr., and Vernie M. Holder of Concord.
Bobby worked as a foreman at Lippert Component's until he became disabled four years ago. He was a member of South Concord Church of God and a lifetime Honorary Chair Person of the Life Builders Men's Ministries in at South Concord Church of God.
He was also an usher for the church.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of thirteen years, Rhonda L. Holder of the home; two half-brothers, Arnold McDonald of Concord, and Tony McDonald of Kannapolis; one nephew; and one niece.
