Bernice Guthrie, 82, Newport; funeral was held Tuesday
Bernice W. Guthrie, 82, of Newport, died Saturday at her home.
She was a member of Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church in Morehead City.
Her funeral was Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
Burial followed in Bayview Cemetery in Morehead City.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Gene and Delma Guthrie of Newport; two grandchildren, Saundrea Robinson and Ginger Chambers of Morehead City; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon Chambers, Kimberly Chambers and Collin Chambers.

Ennis Stiles, Morehead City; funeral was held today
Ennis Frank Stiles, 84, of Morehead City, died Friday at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City.
His funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. S.H. Barrow, III officiating.
Burial was to follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Morehead City.
He is survived by a son, John Stile of Morehead City; a daughter, Mary Adams of Morehead City; three brothers, James Douglas Stiles and Roy Lee Stiles, both of Morehead City, and Nathaniel Stiles of Jacksonville, Fla.; an aunt, Wynetta Mumford of Kinston; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Barrows Funeral Home in Morehead City.

Bertha Morris, 74, Beaufort; funeral to be Thursday
Bertha Mae Morris, 74, of Beaufort, died Sunday at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Christian Star Missionary Baptist Church in Morehead City, with the Rev. Roy McCabe officiating.
Burial will follow in Bayview Cemetery in Morehead City.
She is survived by a daughter, Kim Gaskill of Beaufort; a brother, Sandy Stewart of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home.

David Hasulak, 72, Delaware; local service planned
David E. Hasulak, 72, of Seaford, Del., former mayor of Pine Knoll Shores, who died Oct. 15, will be remembered at a local memorial service Nov. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Pine Knoll Shores Town Hall.
Following his retirement from IBM in New York, in 1985, he moved to Pine Knoll Shores and served on the town council from 1990 to 1994 and as mayor from 1994 to 1996.
He also served on the Pine Knoll Shores Volunteer Fire Department.

Talinda Sheene Prioleau, infant daughter of Mitzi C. Prioleau of Beaufort and Paul Bryant of Greensboro, died Tuesday at Greensboro Women's Hospital.
She also is survived by grandparents, Antonio and Linda Prioleau of Beaufort.

Gladys Potts, 81, of Cape Carteret died Saturday at Harborview in Morehead City.
Services will be conducted at a later date.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Norman of Swansboro and Gladys Potts of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Raymond W. Potts of Kingspark, Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Virginia Love of Queens, N.Y.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Lemuel Nicholas Henry, 43; service to be Saturday
Lemuel Nicholas Henry, 43, of Beaufort, died Tuesday at his home.
He was graduated from Carteret County schools and was formerly employed with the town of Atlantic Beach.
His funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephens Congregational Church, with the Rev. Ernestine Mattocks officiating.
Burial will follow in Carteret Memorial Gardens.
A viewing will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
He is survived by his mother, Greta S. Henry of Beaufort; a brother, Donald W. Henry, Jr. of Beaufort; and four sisters, Debra Caldwell and Yvette Henry, both of Washington, D.C., and Earlene Henry and Madlyn Henry, both of Beaufort.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Carteret County.

Essie Mizell White, 89; service to be Saturday
Essie Mizell White, 89, of Morehead City, died Wednesday.
A native of Ridgeville, S.C., she was a resident of Pitt County, from 1940 to 1986 before retiring to Carteret County.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary 7032 and a former member of Winterville Missionary Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pinewood Memorial Park, Greenville.
She is survived by a daughter, Frances White McNamara of Morehead City; a brother, Kermit Mizell of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Maxine Moore and Doris Harris, both of Greenville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilkerson Funeral Home of Greenville.
