Mabel Dean Parrish, 89, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004. Funeral service was 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Parrish and a great granddaughter, Sydney Parrish.
Surviving, sons, Walter Parrish and wife, Kay of Williamston, Charles Parrish and wife, Becky of Kipling; grandchildren, Mike, Felicia, James, Dean, Dwight, Sherry, Paula and Scott; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Brown of Sanford, Margaret Tilton of Raleigh, Ruby Dickens of Castalia.
The family received friends on Thursday, May 27, 2004 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home and other times at the home of Charles and Becky Parrish, 496 Kipling Road, Fuquay-Varina.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 400 East H St., Erwin, N.C. 28339.

Holly Springs, NC – John E. Dawson, age 57, died Monday, January 12, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N. Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC.
John is survived by his wife of 28 years, Marie Dawson; he is the father of Kenneth, Lisa and Jon Paul; he is the grandfather of Kyle, Christian, James, Bobby and Madison. He is also survived by his brothers, Stuart and Glenn; and sister, Wendy.
Beulah Mae Wilkerson
Beulah Mae Hester Wilkerson, 85, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004. Funeral service was 3 p.m. Friday, June 4 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wilkerson was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus C. Wilkerson and a step-son, Branson C. Wilkerson.
Surviving, daughter, Patsy Wilkerson Smith and husband, Waylon Smith of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Jack Smith, Ronnie Smith and Pam Gentry all of Fuquay-Varina, Kenneth Wilkerson, Alan Wilkerson and James Wilkerson all of Prosperity, South Carolina; five great grandchildren.
The family received friends, Friday, June 4 one hour prior to the service, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home.
Edward B. York
Edward B. York, 60, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2004 after an enduring fight against cancer.
Ed was born on July 7, 1943 and was a native of Long Island, New York. During his lifetime Ed served in the United States Navy aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Lake Champlain during the Cuban Missile Crisis, was a 20 year employee of United Parcel Service during which time he also served the community as a scout leader and president of a Kiwanis Club. It wasn’t until the early 1980’s when Ed moved to Raleigh with his wife that he found his true passion, teaching children. He first taught at the Montessori School of Raleigh while doing his training to obtain an American Montessori Society credential on the Lower Elementary level, he achieved his credential in 1981. It was shortly after that that he and his wife founded The New School, Inc. A Montessori Center For Children, which consisted of one classroom containing 11 children, it is now nine classrooms containing 180 children where thoughts of Ed are continuously flowing through the hallways remembering how he touched so many lives of the families who attended.
He is survived by his wife Ceres, his children Michael, James, Edward, Nicholas, Scott, Julie and stepchildren Trina and Jonathan and grandchildren Brian, Elizabeth, Savannah, Braelyn, Jack, Kelsey, Eli, Crystal and Katina. He is predeceased by his grandchild Kyla.
The family received friends on Tuesday, June 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. with a memorial service at 8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N. Ennis St., Fuquay-Varina.
Murtle Johnson Gregory
Mrs. Murtle Johnson Gregory, of 7260 Mt. Pleasant Road, Willow Springs, went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2004. The funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Coats.
The Rev. Jerry Huff will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. Mrs. Gregory was born in Wake County on Feb. 14, 1907, to the late Amos and Ellena Rogers Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bont Greogry. Mrs. Gregory was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Mae Denton of Willow Springs; son, Lewis Gregory of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Tony Denton, Elaine Denton, Alan Denton, Mickey Gregory, and Keith Gregory; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family received friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 17.

Timothy Mitchell Klingler was born August 16, 1988 in Albuquerque, NM and died February 13, 2016 in Cary, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St Timothy's Episcopal Church, 4523 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends between 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow after the service at Wake Chapel Memorial Garden, 905 Wake Chapel Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC.
Mitchell is survived by his parents, John Proctor Klingler and Marion Mitchell Klingler; his brother is David Henry Klingler of Fuquay-Varina, NC; paternal grandmother is Jennie Proctor Schwoebel of New Bern, NC; maternal grandparents, Buford and Carolina Mitchell of Fuquay-Varina, NC; aunts are Sara Edwards (Philip) of Atlanta, GA, Teresa Mitchell (Don Katz) of Boston, MA, and Diana Johnston (Garland) of Holly Springs, NC; uncle, Thomas Klingler of Wilmington, NC; cousins, Sophie Edwards Ekstrom (Jamie), Gabe Edwards, William and Parker Johnston, and Aaron Katz; fiancée, Jessica Katherine Bahamonde of Cary, NC the daughter of James and Susan Bahamonde of Wilmington, NC; and surrogate family members, Larry and Denise Santeramo of Durham, NC and their sons, Michael and Jonathan.
Family members who have preceded Mitchell include, Eugene Klingler, Jr. of Ohio, Richard Schwoebel, of NM, Eugene and Margaret Klingler of PA, Tom and Pearl Proctor of NC, Joseph MacPhail Mitchell and Portia Vann Mitchell of NC, Luis Mosquera Soublette and Carolina Pardo de Mosquera of Caracas, Venezuela.
Mitchell was a 2006 graduate of Harnett Central High School in Angier, NC. He attended Campbell and East Carolina Universities pursuing a career in medicine. He had a brilliant and curious mind. He enjoyed playing clarinet in band at HCHS and Campbell. He loved playing video games and disc golf, folding origami, fishing, hiking, snowboarding, scuba diving, driving, learning about computer technology, and cooking. He was sensitive, compassionate, loyal, protective, and devoted to all.
For all the good he was able to experience and share with the world, Mitchell suffered for many years from debilitating depression and drug addiction.
