Timothy Ray Hunter II, age 16, of Cary died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003. The funeral was held Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Apex Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mack Thompson officiating the service. Burial was in the Apex Cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Teresa Hunter of the home; grandparents, Jackie and Joan Hunter of Raleigh and Linwood Thompson of Zebulon; and his great-grandmother, Rozella Thompson of Raleigh. The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the Apex Funeral Home, 511 West Williams St., Hwy. 55, Apex, N.C. 27502.
Julia M. Lee
Julia Lillie Murray Lee, 92, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003. A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lee was born Aug. 28, 1911, in Apex and was the daughter of the late Bass Thomas and Lettie Lewis Murray. She lived in Harnett County and Fuquay-Varina all her life. She was a former member of Baptist Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church. In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lemon Lee; two children, William Pearce Lee and his wife Sylvia G. Lee, and Carolyn Lee Williams and her husband Robert; two sisters, Audrey Pleasants and Elvie Roundy; and two brothers, Osler Murray and Douglas Murray. She is survived by step-daughters, Ronalda Lee Edwards of Raleigh and Hilda Lee Senter and husband Robert of Fuquay-Varina; and grandchildren, Kimberly Lee Hovis and husband Larry of Greenville, Michael Senter of Orlando, Fla., Greg Williams and wife Jan of Wake Forest, Todd Lee and wife Lori of Orlando, Fla., Jeff Williams and wife Melissa of Pleasanton, Calif., Mark Lee of San Francisco, Calif., Steve Williams and wife Lora of Kennedale, Texas, and Sharon Williams Davis and husband Steve of Raleigh; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Amber Weaver and Comie Medlin, both of Raleigh, and Zelma Jones of Fuquay-Varina. The family received friends immediately following the graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Grove Baptist Church, 6140 Christian Light Road, Fuquay-Varina, N.C. 27526. Arrangements were handled by Thomas Funeral Home.

H. Stanley “Stan” Wall passed away peacefully March 5th, 2015.
A visitation will be held Sunday Evening March 8th, 7-9 PM at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N Ennis St. Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. Funeral services will be held on Monday March 9th, 2 PM at Fuquay-Varina Presbyterian Church, 310 North Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Born October 6, 1944 to the late Herman and Hazel Wall, he was also predeceased by his brother Bryant Wall. He is survived by the love of his life for 49 years Linda Baker Wall; son Jeff & wife Ellen of Cary and their children Cameron, Matthew and Lauren; son Jason & wife Gwen of Fuquay and their children Rachel and Joshua. He is also survived by his brother Shelby and aunt Erdine Johnson.
A hard working, kind and charismatic man with the “gift of gab”, he made sales his life’s work. An avid Tarheel fan, he loved hunting, fishing, reading and winning risky bids at Rook. Considered a “Grillmaster” by all that tasted the fruits of his labor, he cooked many a pig for family and friends just ‘cause he loved it. A generous contributor to his community, Stan served as a Little League coach, Assistant Scout Master for Troop 320 (go Orange Crush!), President of FVHS Band Boosters, and Elder and Deacon of FV Presbyterian Church.

Robert Cherry
G. Robert Cherry, 83, formerly of Chatham, N.J., and White Plains, N.Y., died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Windsor Point. He served in the U.S. Army for five years in World War II, graduated from Pace Institute in New York City and worked for General Foods until his retirement in 1980. In 1990, he moved to North Carolina and was a member of the Fuquay-Varina Presbyterian Church. Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth of Cambridge, Mass., and a brother, John of Ft. Myers, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia; a son, Robert and wife Kim of Fayetteville, N.Y.; a daughter, Barbara Couchon and husband William of Cary; grandchildren, Rebecca Couchon, Richard Couchon and Roger Cherry; and a brother, Dr. James Cherry of Santa Monica, Calif. A memorial service was held at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2 .m. Friends were invited to visit with the family afterwards at Ransdell Hall, adjacent to the funeral home immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flower, memorials to the Fuquay-Varina Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1126, Fuquay-Varina, N.C. 27526 would be appreciated.

Fuquay-Varina - Timothy Scott Weaver, 51, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 27, 2015 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Mid-Way Baptist Church, 6910 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends following the service.
Prior to starting his own business as a paint contractor, he was a high school football coach for over 10 years serving as assistant football coach at Fayetteville 71st High School and head football coach at Athens Drive High School.
Timothy is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carole Ann Weaver; daughters, Lauren Weathers and husband, Jonathan, and Emily Weaver, both of Fuquay-Varina; parents, Ed and Lib Weaver of Durham; brother, Lee Weaver and wife, Anna of Wake Forest; and father-in-law, Howard Pearse of Apex.

Kenneth H. Williams
Kenneth H. Williams, 63, of Fuquay-Varina died Friday, Oct. 11, 2003, in Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the United State Army. The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina with the Rev. John Gupton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 at O’Quinn-Peeble Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Smith Williams of the home; four sons, Kenneth Dale Williams and his wife Lisa, Leonard Guy Williams, Anthony Bryan Williams and his wife Heather, all of Fuquay-Varina, and Gary Howard William and his wife Julia of Newton Grove; his parents, Howard and Vonnie Williams of Coats; two sisters, Sue Barefoot of Linden and Jo Anna Parker of Coats; two brothers, Harold Wayne Williams of Erwin and Jerry Williams of Coats; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Woody Upchurch; father, George M. Warren; and nephew, Ashley Johnson.
