Fuquay-Varina - Donnell Wilbur Guy, Jr., 55, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2015 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on June 10, 1960 in Goldsboro, NC. He grew up in Calypso, NC and attended North Duplin High School, was a graduate of Greensboro College where he received a BS in Biology, and received his Master’s Degree in Plant Pathology from Clemson University. Don was the Director of Sales, US and Canada, for Arysta LifeScience.
Don was devoted to his family and will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, coworker, and friend. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends on his boat at the coast.
He is survived by his wife, Abigail Shealy Guy of Fuquay-Varina, NC; son, Captain Matthew Ryan Guy and wife, Brianne of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Emily Guy Parker and husband, Matthew of Mt. Olive, NC; parents, Donnell and Nellie Guy of Calypso, NC; sister, Suzanne Guy Britt and husband, Ralph of Calypso, NC.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Wake Chapel Christian Church, 905 Wake Chapel Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC, with reception following in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, Don requested that contributions be made to Boy Scout Troop 320 Don Guy Memorial, PO Box 1372, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Gary N. Senter, 51, of Fuquay died at Western Wake Hospital, July 16, 2003.
Memorial Service was at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Danny Jarman.
Family received visitors at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home Chapel, and other times at Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Senter Home.
Surviving is wife, Sadie Senter, daughter: Crystal Senter of Angier, granddaughter: Brandy Yarbrough, Angier, parents: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Senter, Kipling, sisters: Annette Bennett, Kipling, Elaine Senter and Karen Senter, Morehead City, N.C. Sue Hubbard, Newport, N.C., brothers: Joe Senter, Youngville, N.C., Darrell Senter, Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Leroy Senter, Cary, N.C.
Jamie Lee Aiken
Jamie Lee Aiken, 76, died Friday, July 25, 2003 at Western Wake Medical Center.
He left behind three daughters who dearly loved him as well as his loving siblings and their families.
Graveside service was held Monday, July 28, 2003 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina.
Surviving, daughters, Patricia Aiken of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kathy Dittrich and Christal Aiken both of Frankfurt, Germany; grandchildren, Gilles and Alwin; sisters, Margaret Burchette and Joyce Humphries both of Raleigh; brother, Robert Smith of Virginia; step-father, Daron Smith of Virginia.
The family received friends following the service and other times at the home of Joyce and Gerald Humphries. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Home, Fuquay-Varina.
Alta M. Knight
Alta Mae Ennis Knight, 95, of 1444 Old Stage Road, Coats, died Friday at her home.
Mrs. Knight, a native of Johnston County, was born Oct. 22, 1907, to the late Willie and Jeanette King Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Ennis.
She was a retired food service and textile employee.
Funeral services were held at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Coats by the Rev. Duane Partin.
Burial followed in Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery in Benson.
Survivors include sons, William Earl Ennis of Coats, Charles David Ennis of Garner, William Henry Ennis Jr. of Clayton; daughters, Marquita Partin of Fuquay-Varina and Diane Upchurch of Coats; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Maude Rambeaut Sprinkle Adcock
Maude Lee Rambeaut Sprinkle Adcock, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, died at the age of 95 on Monday, May 26, 2003 at Windsor Point. Maude was born in Chalybeate Springs on Sept. 1, 1907 to the late John Robert Rambeaut and Huldah Utley Rambeaut. She was preceded in death by husbands Claude O. Sprinkle and John C. Adcock. Children Joan, Sylvia, Selma and John also preceded her in death. She is survived by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Selisker and husband, Phil, and great-grandson, Drew of Raleigh, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by step-children Nell Caviness and husband Elvin, Brantley “Buck” Adcock and wife, Pat, all of Wilbon, Joyce Vinci and husband, Paul, of Atlanta; eight step-grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren. The family received friends at Thomas Funeral Home. Graveside services followed at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church cemetery. John L. Stephenson
John Leonard Stephenson, 75, died Sunday, May 18, 2003.
Graveside service was May 20 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Surviving, wife, Loni S. Stephenson; daughters, Shirley S. Jones of Fuquay-Varina, Karen S. Parker and husband, Kenneth R. Parker of Moncure; brother, Lynton Stephenson of New Bern.
The family will received friends May 19 at Thomas Funeral Home and other times at the home of Shirley Jones, 406 Wade St., Fuquay-Varina.
