Thomas James “Tommy” Bullock, Sr.
Fuquay-Varina – Thomas James “Tommy” Bullock, Sr., 63, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 31, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 3 at 1:00 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Tommy had a very strong devotion to God and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. He was a kind, generous and loving person and a true friend to anyone he met, always putting others before himself.
Mr. Bullock was preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Bullock and an infant brother, James Britt Bullock.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Pope Bullock; daughters, Kristie Akins (Bill) of Fuquay-Varina, Erica Curtis (David) of Greensboro; son, Jim Bullock of Fuquay-Varina; step-children, Lorie Howerton and Jason Sears (Jennie) all of Fuquay-Varina; mother, Pansy Bullock of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Joanne Champion of Linden; grandchildren, Lizzie and Will Akins, T. J. Bullock, Noah Curtis, Alex and Dusty Brubaker, Jordan and Jessica Sears.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 2 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home and other times at the home of Kristie and Bill Akins, 3817 Barberry Lake Ct., Fuquay-Varina.

Pansy D. Bullock
Fuquay-Varina – Pansy Dickens Bullock, 85, died Thursday, November 4, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6 at 1:00 pm at the Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bullock was preceded in death by her parents, Britt Mae Dickens and Josephine Sherron Dickens; husband, James Monroe Bullock; her sons, James Britt Bullock and Tommy Bullock and a brother, Billy Joe Dickens.
She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Champion; a daughter- in-law, Becky Bullock; grandchildren, Kristie Akins (Bill), Erica Curtis (David), Jim Bullock, Adam Hair (Debbie), Mike Hair (Christy), Dawn Stone (Bennett); step-grandchildren, Lorie Howerton and Jason Sears (Jennie), Crystal Wilson (Daniel); 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Toler and Rachel Wheeler (Jim); brothers, Ben Robert Dickens (Margie), Jimmy Rex Dickens (Adonna), Howard Lane Dickens (Mary); and many nieces and nephews she was very fond of.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, prior to the funeral service at 1:00 pm at the church and other times at the home of Kristie and Bill Akins, 3817 Barberry Lake Ct., Fuquay-Varina.

Margaret Emily Glover Hicks
Fuquay-Varina – Margaret Emily Glover Hicks, 90, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at her home in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Margaret was born June 18, 1919, in Wilson, the daughter of the late Cleveland Jasper Glover, Sr. and Cleopatra Taylor Glover. She is preceded in death by her husband, John James Hicks, and two sisters, Geraldine Glover Peel and Rachel Glover Paschall.
Margaret was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College in Wilson and taught school in Moss Hill and Zebulon. She loved the beach and cherished her memories of time spent with family and friends at her cottage in Kure Beach and later at her home on Oak Island.
Surviving include a daughter, Pamela Hicks Greer and husband Tommy of Apex, NC; grandchildren Elizabeth Courtney Greer of Raleigh, NC and Heather Greer Whitley and husband Michael of Holly Springs, NC; great-grandchildren Reagan Elizabeth Whitley, Peyton Anderson Whitley, and Owen Ernest Whitley; brother C.J. Glover, Jr. and wife Sybil Williamson Glover of Wilson; one nephew and two nieces.
A memorial service will be held at eleven o’clock on Friday morning, May 14, 2010, at Maplewood Cemetery, 400 College Street Northeast, Wilson, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a cancer research organization of your choice or to SPCA of Wake County, 200 Pet Finder Lane, Raleigh NC, 27603.

Terry Lee Edmundson
Terry Lee Edmundson, 50, formerly of Hollidaysburg, Pa., lost his battle with cancer on Monday, September 6, 2010 at Duke University Medical Center. Born in Hollidaysburg, Pa., on November 12, 1959, he was the son of Virginia L. Edmundson and the late Eldon Frank Edmundson. Terry was a District Manager for Pizza Hut. Surviving are his son, Christopher Edmundson and wife, Kristymarie, of Orlando, Fla.; mother, Virginia L. Edmundson of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; two brothers, David F. Edmundson and wife, Maryann of Tyrone, Pa., Timothy S. Edmundson and wife, Margaret of Duncansville, Pa.; one sister, Cindy K. Laney and husband, Gary of Orlando Fla.; two granddaughters, Jennifer Faith and Emily Marie Edmundson, of Orlando, Fla.; and special friend, Debra Styron of Garner, N.C. Margaret Jones Holder
Margaret Jones Holder was born July 20, 1915. Margaret was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Etta Coats Jones. She was a former employee of N.C. Dept. of Motor Vehicles and was a homemaker for most of her married life. She was a faithful member of Horne Memorial United Methodist Church for 60 plus years and in 1998 she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Curvis E. Holder; a sister, Mildred J. Parrish and a brother, C. Wade Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Holder Turner of Garner, twin sons, Phillip Holder and wife, Kim of Clayton and Charles Holder and wife, Donna of Raleigh; one granddaughter, Terri and husband, Morgan O’Meara of Garner, sister, Maude J. Gunther of Brunswick, Md., brother, William Jones of Chicago, Ill., and a special niece, Shirley Lee of Clayton; numerous nieces and nephews in North Carolina, Georgia and Maryland.
Pallbearers are Bill McCoy, Sherrill Lee, Donald Lee, Art Holder, David Holder, Jr. and Nathan Adams. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment followed at Maplewood Cemetery.
