Fuquay-Varina - Albert S. Clay, Jr., age 82, entered his eternal home in heaven on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina, NC.
Mr. Clay was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was born August 20, 1933 in Nash County, NC to the late Albert Sidney Clay, Sr. and Naoma Baker Clay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother J.B. Clay; and sister, Agnes Couick.
He graduated from UNC School of Pharmacy and served his country as a medic in the US Army. He was the owner and operator of Varina Pharmacy for 25 years. He was an active member and also served as a deacon at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church, and a follower of Christ.
Mr. Clay is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce McLamb Clay; son, Albert Mark Clay and wife, Debbie of Fuquay-Varina, NC; daughters, Cyndi Clay Wiltshire and husband, Craig of Hyde Park, VT, and Anne Elizabeth Clay of Macungie, PA; and 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Luke, John and Elizabeth.

Joseph Mussan-Levy

Fuquay-Varina - Joseph Mussan-Levy, age 61, died Sunday January 18, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina, NC.
Joseph was born in Giv'at Shmuel, Israel to Nissim and Sara Shauli Mussan-Levy.
He was a hard working man who loved to bring laughter to those who were around him and knew him. He was the owner of Clean and Vac Cleaning Service.
Joseph and Sandra have been together for ten years and married for almost eight years. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, Neil Mussan; stepson, Leo Lima and wife, Danielle; step-grandchildren, Adrianna, Alessandra and Valentina; and sister, Hani Golan.
George W. Underwood

Holly Springs - George W. Underwood, 89, died Monday, January 26, 2015. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Holly Springs Cemetery.
George was born January 1, 1926 to the late Jim M. and Eileen Betts Underwood. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He also served as the commissioner of Holly Springs, Constable of Holly Springs Township, and owner of Underwood Furniture Company. He was known by many as Uncle George who loved gardening and animals. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance H. Underwood; three brothers; and five sisters.
George is survived by his daughter, S. Teresa Underwood of Holly Springs; son, Tony Kip Underwood and wife, Amber of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Amber Renee Bowden and husband, Josh of Willow Spring, Buckley Underwood and Paige Underwood both of Fuquay-Varina; a great-granddaughter, Aubrey Bowden; and sister, Virginia Gargano of Bethesda, Maryland.
The family will receive friends between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina.
Nona Spence Johnson Caviness
April 20, 1918 - November 2, 2015
Fuquay-Varina - Nona Spence Johnson Caviness, age 97, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church, 238 Chalybeate Road, Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Caviness was raised on a farm in Harnett County. She was a farmer's wife for 20 years and in addition, was employed for 24 years at Hudson Belk of Fuquay. She was a loving mother, grandma, gran-gran and friend who will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Caviness; brother, Gentry Johnson; and sister, Euna Plowman.
Mrs. Caviness is survived by her son, Al Caviness and wife, Marsha; daughter, Donna Clayton and husband, Donald; granddaughter, Allison Henderson and husband, Robert; great-grandchildren, Austin and Anthony Matthews, all of Fuquay-Varina; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sean O’Donnell
Sean O’Donnell, 27 years old, passed away Sunday evening, June 17, 2012 in Wilmington, N.C., following an automobile accident. Sean was a 2003 Graduate of Fuquay-Varina High School, a 2007 Graduate of UNCW School of Business and a 2010 graduate of Appalachian School of Law. He was employed at the Hager Law firm in Wilmington.
Sean is survived by his parents, Jim and Carrie O’Donnell of Fuquay-Varina, and two sisters, Chrissy Lynn O’Donnell of Chicago and Erin Marie O’Donnell of Wilmington.
Family visitation will be Wednesday evening between 7 and 9 p.m. at Williford Funeral Home in Fuquay-Varina and the funeral mass will be at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church at 1005 Wilbon Rd. in Fuquay-Varina on Thursday at 11a.m.
Janet Faye Weathers
Janet Faye Weathers, 71, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 14, 2012. Janet was predeceased by her father, William Ray Steed. She is survived by her mother, Irma Powell Steed; husband, Jasper Weathers; children, Gary Weathers and wife Penny, and Donna Rice and husband David; brother, Danny Steed; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A graveside service was held on December 16, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Wake Chapel Cemetery.
Mark Vice
Mark “Griz” Vice, 60, of Holly Springs, N.C., passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012. He was born November 16, 1952. Mark was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam war. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene; daughter, Melissa; and brothers, Robbie and Jerry. He is survived by his wife, Dale Jones Vice, and great nephew, Austin, both of the home; son, Mark Jr. and wife Kim of Lexington, S.C.; father, Robert Vice of Coco, Fla.; sister, Rosa Dean and husband, Larry of Coco, Fla.; and four grandchildren. A visitation was held Wednesday, December 19 at 1 p.m. at Williford Funeral Home, with a funeral service following directly at 2 p.m.
