Dianne Paparone, 57, of 706 Woodland Church Road, Wake Forest, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Wake Medical Center. She was born in Sampson County, the daughter of Doris Britt Smith and the late Perry Smith, and she was a registered nurse having served in various hospitals.
A memorial service was held at 7 o’clock Friday evening, June 1, 2007, at Woodland Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Tommy Seedorf officiating.
Mrs. Paparone is survived by her devoted husband, John Paparone; mother, Doris Britt Smith; children, Angela Robertson of Wake Forest, Amanda Britt of Raleigh and Michael Paparone of Athens, Ga.; brother, Perry Smith of Turkey, N.C.; and sisters, Terri Smith of Turkey and Dot Small of Edenton.

Minnie V. Sabiston
Minnie V. Sabiston, 95, of 706 S. Main St., Wake Forest, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the home of her daughter in Acton, Mass.
She was born April 14, 1912, in Whitakers, the daughter of the late Gaston Wilder Taylor and Minnie Elizabeth (Moore) Taylor.
She is survived by her son, Charles B. Sabiston, Jr.; daughter, Virginia Sabiston Palmer and son-in-law Leonard N. Palmer; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 o’clock, Monday afternoon, June 11, 2007, in the chapel at Wake Forest United Methodist Church.

Janet Darcea Lockwood Blackburn
Janet Darcea Lockwood Blackburn, 43, of 858 Lochmaben Street, Wake Forest, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, April 26, 2006.
She was born in Hagerstown, Maryland, on August 15, 1962, the daughter of John and Janet Lockwood. She graduated from High Point Central High School in 1984.
While raising her family, she continued her education. She received her Associates Degree in Accounting at Wake Technical Community College and Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting at NC Wesleyan College, both degrees with Honors.
She embraced life through her family and friends. Her special love for family and friends was obvious by her unselfish and gracious giving and support. She was an active member of the Wake Forest Methodist Church. Her faith was evident in every area of her life - in her unwavering love for her husband, her devotion to her family, and her kindness to friends. Her love was unconditional and constant.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert Blackburn, III and her son Robert (Robby) Blackburn IV. her parents; John and Janet Lockwood, her sisters; Tonya Robertson, Darla Evans, Belinda Kaplan, Loura Faira, and many special nieces and nephews.
The memorial service was held at 11 o’clock, Monday morning, May 1, 2006 at Wake Forest Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Wake Forest United Methodist Church, 905 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Diane P. Marshall, 53, of 2620 Kearney Road, Wake Forest, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Janie Weathers Perry and Crocker Perry.
Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, April 29, 2006 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Wake Forest Cemetery.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by her daughter, Vange Eatmon and husband, Donald of Zebulon; grandchildren, Patrick Andrew Eatmon and Anthony Glenn Eatmon, brother Millard Perry and sister Dorothy Macon both of Wake Forest; several nieces & nephews.

Joseph Edgar “Jo Jo” Rittenhouse, 26, of 8331 Bratt Avenue, Wake Forest, died Wednesday morning, April 26, 2006 at his home. He was born in Fayetteville, NC.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, April 29, 2006 in The Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.
Mr. Rittenhouse is survived by his parents, Thomas Edgar Rittenhouse & Suk Hui Han Rittenhouse; sister, Terri Lynn Janas of Wake Forest; step-brothers, Jimmy Rittenhouse of Fayetteville, Tommy Rittenhouse and Peter Rittenhouse and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Betty Long Billingsley
Betty Long Billingsley, passed away Monday, Oct. 2, at Mayview Convalescent Center in Raleigh, after a long illness with Alzheimer’s.
Betty was a former resident of Indian Head, Md., for more than 50 years. Mrs. Billingsley was born November 10, 1924, in Siebert, Md. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Edith Long of Oldtown, Md. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, McNeal W. Billingsley; and brothers, Kenneth and Paul Long.
Mrs. Billingsley is survived by her devoted daughter, Kay B. Kingan and her husband, Rober, of Raleigh; a grandson, Robert B. Murray, and his wife, Cyndi, of Fuquay-Varina; a sister, Wanda G. Morgan, and her husband, Jack, of Loganville, Ga.; brothers, Gene E. Long, and his wife, Aline, of Loganville, Ga., and Tim W. Long and his wife, Linda, of Franklin, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews and relatives.
Mrs. Billingsley was an active member of the Indian Head Baptist Church, Indian Head, Md., and a member of Grace Chapter No 21, Order of the Eastern Star, Indian Head, Md.
Funeral services will be held at 12 o’clock Thursday, Oct. 5, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service.
Burial will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Md., on Saturday afternoon Oct. 7.

Ruby Lee Perry
Ruby Lee Perry, 76, of 1662 Tarboro Road, Youngsville, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 3, at Duke Raleigh Hospital. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Letha Bailey Shearon and Orman Shearon and was preceded in death by her husband, Purvis Perry. Mrs. Perry was retired as an assembler with ABB in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Friday, Oct. 6, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith-Perry Family Cemetery in Wake Forest.
She is survived by a son, James Earl Perry and wife, Dorothy, of Youngsville; a daughter, Kathy Har, and her husband, Rodney, of Youngsville; brothers, Otee Shearon and Vermon Shearon, both of Wake Forest; a granddaughter, Linda Massey of Zebulon; a grandson, Tommy Perry of W.Va.; and a great granddaughter, Jessica Perry of Stovall.

Doris Richards Gay
Doris Richards Gay, 81, of Rolesville, died Tuesday afternoon, September 25, 2007, at Transitional Health Services Nursing Center in Kannapolis. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Helen Johnson Richards and W. E. Richards, and was a member of Rolesville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning September 29, 2007, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Randy Bridges and the Rev. J. Marshall Neathery officiating. Burial was in the Rolesville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Gay is survived by her husband of 57 years, Braxton Gay; daughter, Elaine Carroll and husband, Greg, of Charlotte; son, David Gay and wife, Angie. of Charlotte; grandchildren, Morgan and Tate Carroll and Ryan and Justin Gay. She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Richards.

Brian Phillip Welch, 29, of 70 Cedarhurst Lane, Franklinton, died Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at Wake Medical Center. Mr. Welch was born in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Vicky Morris Welch and Jerry Welch.
Funeral services were held at 11 o’clock, Friday morning, September 28, 2007, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Welch officiating. Burial was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Welch is survived by his wife, Samantha Welch; son, Jonah Welch, and daughter, Autumn Welch, both of the home; step-son, Trent Norman of New Bern; parents, Jerry and Vicky Welch of Wake Forest; sister, Tammy Welch Myatt and husband, Danny of Spring Lake; brothers, Michael Welch and wife, Gwen, of Spring Lake and Scott Welch and wife, Nikki, of Charlotte; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Spencer Zoller of Raleigh, Brad Hathaway of Youngsville and Jon Dedrick of Wake Forest.
