Mrs. Thomas was a secretary for the Superintendent of Schools in Nansemond County, VA, and for Thomas Line Construction Company.
She retired after her employment at the Carteret County Public Library.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at Ann Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. William Rickman Pinner officiating.
The family will have a private committal service at Ocean View Cemetery.
Survivors: daughters, Virginia Thomas Fleischer of Pass Christian, MS, Kay Thomas Yelton of Beaufort; sisters, Virginia S. Stare of Schenectady, NY, Ann S. Lyon of San Rafael, CA; two grandchildren.

RALEIGH -- Gwendolyn Wilkins Green Urquhart, 52, died Tuesday [June 17, 1997].
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home, in Selma.
Burial will follow in Oakland Heights Cemetery, in Smithfield.
Surviving are her husband, Tom Urquhart; son, John Richard Green, Jr. of Winston-Salem, and his fiancee, Kristi Barnete of Norfolk, Va.; parents, James Thomas "J.T." and Frances Seate Wilkins of Clayton.

PRINCETON -- Judith Frances Stach Vanatta, 49, died Monday [June 16, 1997].
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home, in Selma, with the Father Joseph Mulroney officiating.
Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are her husband, Ronnie G. Vanatta, Sr.; son, Ronnie G. Vanatta, Jr. of Springfield, MA; daughter, Denise Vanatta of Princeton; two brothers and one granddaughter.

DURHAM -- Ms. Lottie Holloway Blackwood, 89, died Wednesday, June 18, 1997, at Triangle Hospice at the Meadowlands.
Mrs. Blackwood was a lifelong Durham, resident, and wife of the late Charlie R. Blackwood.
Surviving: daughter, Susan B. Graham of Durham; son, Charles A. Blackwood of Charlotte; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and one brother, George K. Holloway of Wilmington.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 20, 1997, at Mt. Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church, Guess Road, Durham. Officiating, the Rev. Woody Massey.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 1997, at Howerton & Bryan Funeral Home.

She was a claims adjustor for Hartford Insurance Company, and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Saint Mary's Street.
Burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Survivors are her niece, April B. Trunick and her husband, Teno K. Trunick of Raleigh; great-niece Heather Wade Watson of Raleigh, great-nephews, Jeremy Patrick Trunick of Raleigh, and William Christopher Wade; sister-in-law, Mildred L. Branch of Raleigh.

BAHAMA -- Mrs. Delta Evangeline Butcher Campbell, 70, of 607 Phar Lap Lane, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997.
She will be moved back to Duda-Ruck Funeral Chapel in Dundalk, MD, for completion of funeral arrangements.
Her son, Robert and his wife, Terry are surviving in Bahama, N.C.

Mike worked at Leith Mitsubishi as an auto mechanic.

Surviving: wife, Christina "Tina" Frank Clarke; son, Michael Ryan Clarke of the home; daughter, Heather Leighanne Clarke of the home; mother, Helen Boondas Clarke of Raleigh; brother, James D.
