Thelma Lorraine Sugg
Thelma Lorraine Sugg, 89, died June 14, 2007 at home. She was born Feb. 20, 1918 in Columbus, Ga. to Harry and Laura Johnson. Mrs. Sugg was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Franklin Sugg and wife, Marie of Angier and Michael Phillip Sugg of Fuquay-Varina; brother, Clyde Johnson of Durham; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Sugg and grandson, Wayne Phillip Sugg.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Burial followed at Raleigh Memorial Park.
The family received friends at the funeral home before the service.

Jayden Charles Long
Jayden Charles Long, infant son of Jeffrey Ryan Long and Donna Burgess Long, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Duke University Medical Center. Our sweet loving baby boy left in the hands of Jesus. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Martha's Chapel Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (N.C. 55), Apex.
Along with his parents, Jayden is survived by his maternal grandmother, Sylvia Churchill Burgess and the late Walter Lee Burgess of Apex; his paternal grandparents, Jerry Reece Long and wife Millie Potts Long of Durham; great grandmother, Wilma Gray Hearn of Pittsboro. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michael Teddy McCaskill
Michael Teddy McCaskill, 26, of Fuquay Varina joined the Saints in Heaven on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Duke University Medical Center. Mike was the youth pastor at Catawba Springs Christian Church. He graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., where he met his loving wife, Lora.
Mike and Lora shared four wonderful years of marriage together. Mike enjoyed outdoors, hunting, fishing and NASCAR. Mike was a devoted husband and father who loved spending time with his family. He had a special love for his teens at Catawba Springs Christian Church as well as his whole church family.
He is survived by his wife, Lora R. McCaskill; and his daughter, Olivia Grace. Mike is also survived by his parents, Mike and Janet McCaskill of Moscow, Tenn.; sister, Beth Chenault and husband, David of Cordova, Tenn.; and his grandmother, Frankie Dunn of Memphis, Tenn.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, June 17, at Catawba Springs Christian Church. A funeral service followed at noon at the church.
Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, Moscow, Tenn.

Ronald Lee Janes
Ronald Lee Janes, 74, died Saturday, June 16, 2007. Ron was born March 29, 1933 in Morgan County, Ohio to the late Roy and Marjorie Janes. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine, and practiced in Athens, Carrolton and Hartville, Ohio. He was employed with the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service in Kingstree, S.C. and currently in Asheboro.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and had been an active leader all his adult life, serving as an elder for the Hartville Church of Christ in Ohio, and the Raleigh Church of Christ.
Dr. Janes is survived by his wife, Rosalee, with whom he shared his 51st wedding anniversary this very same day; three sons, Brent Janes and wife, Robyn of Uniontown, Ohio; Kevin Janes of Fort Worth, Texas and Brian Janes and wife, Beth, of Cary; and daughter, Sheryl Janes, of Luther, Oklahoma; sister, Joyce Davis and husband, Dr. Galen Davis, of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
There was a celebration of his life at at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at the Apex Funeral Home. Arrangements for funeral and burial were handled by Turner Funeral Home in Woodsfield, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ohio Valley University, the Leukemia Foundation, Honduras Missions through the Raleigh Church of Christ or to a charity of your choice.
PETER VERN LEBLANC
Peter V. LeBlanc, 53, died Monday, July 2, 2007. He was born in Calumet, Mich. on Aug. 2, 1953 to Vernon and Susan Lehto LeBlanc.
Peter graduated with a bachelors degree from Miami University and later from Ohio State University with his masters degree. He had a love for the outdoors enjoying hiking, walking, skiing, tennis and sailing with family and friends. Peter was a very loving husband, devoted father, wonderful son and brother and very successful in business and life. After working with Nortel for nine years, Peter joined Sibson & Company, grew and expanded it and opened an office in Cary. In 2005 he became a managing partner of Axiom Consulting Partners and remained a partner until his death. Peter was always energized by his work, had a contagious enthusiastic attitude and fostered deep friendships with his business associates. His partners, friends and associates will feel a deep sense of loss with his death.
Peter is survived by his wife of 22 years, Barbara LeBlanc of Cary; two children, Bryan LeBlanc and Chloe LeBlanc of the home; mother and father, Vern and Susan Lehto LeBlanc of Kearsarge, Mich.; brother, Bruce LeBlanc and his wife, Lorry of Eagle Harbor, Mich.; uncle Pete Lehto and wife Patsy of Kearsarge, Mich.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 1 p.m. at St. Francis United Methodist Church, 2965 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. before the service at the church.

Jean Hurst Williams
Jean Hurst Williams, 79, of Apex, died peacefully at home Saturday, June 30, 2007. Mrs. Williams was a native of Wake County. A celebration of her life was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3 in the Apex Funeral Home Chapel.
She is survived by her son, Thomas S. Williams Jr. of Wake Forest; daughter, Jean H. Williams of Apex; sisters, Jimmie Ann Wright of Holly Springs and Louise Fickling of Apex; granddaughter, Katherine Carlyle of Raleigh; and great granddaughter, Rhiannon.
The family received friends the evening before the service at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex.

Mary Elizabeth 'Betsey' Kennedy
Mary Elizabeth "Betsey" Kennedy, 81, died peacefully at home on Sunday, June 24, 2007, after a period of declining health.
Born on November 20, 1925, in New Haven, Conn., she was the fourth of eight siblings. Some of her fondest memories were of her younger years at her family’s home on the shore of Long Island Sound.
Betsey graduated from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven in 1946. After working as a telephone operator for six years, she joined a support group for the Armed Forces and was stationed in Germany in 1952. It was there that she met Thomas Edward Kennedy, who would become her loving husband of 50 years.
Betsey and Tom married in Germany in 1954 and soon began a family. They lived in several cities as they followed his career in the pharmaceutical industry. They moved to Cary in 1972 with their five children when he joined Burroughs Wellcome Company. The family joined St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, where they have been parishioners for 35 years.
Betsey was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed playing tennis and golf at MacGregor Downs Country Club, where she had many friends.
Betsey will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her love of life and her sense of humor. She was truly an endearing woman, whose positive attitude and zest for living sustained herself and her family as she battled an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Kennedy; her father, Edward Dennis Lynch; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Knapp Lynch; her sister, Sarah Lee O’Neill, and her brothers, Edward Dennis Lynch Jr., John Frederick Lynch and Dennis Cookeson Lynch.
She leaves behind her children, Susan E. Shefte and her husband, Dan; Stephen A. Kennedy; Jonathan E. Kennedy and his wife, Elaine; Philip A. Kennedy; and Christian M. Kennedy and his wife, Wendy. Also surviving are her brother, The Rev. Father Robert Lynch; her sisters, Nancy O’Connor and Kathleen Lynch; six grandchildren, Kate, Nicholas and Sarah Shefte; Luke Kennedy; and Ava Grace and Mary Elizabeth Kennedy; and three step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Wednesday, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary on High House Road at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 28.
