Sahyoun Thomas Nore
Sahyoun Thomas Nore, 52, passed away on Dec. 20, 2007. He was born Jan. 9, 1955 to Samuel Nore and the late Madeline Sahyoun Nore in Boston, MA.
He is survived by his wife Patricia and children Colin Nore of Plantation, FL, Sebastian Nore of Tokyo, Japan, and McKinley Nore of Raleigh. He is also survived by his father Samuel of London, England and his brother Albert of Weymouth, MA.
Family will be receiving friends at their home 7208 Laketree Drive, Raleigh, at 5:30 pm on Saturday, Jan. 19.

Jennie Dortch Satterwhite
Jennie Dortch Satterwhite, 92, widow of Charlie W. Satterwhite Sr., died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
She graduated from Norlina High School in 1932. Jennie retired from Quality Control Department of Austin Foods in Cary, and is a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Cary, where she spent many years volunteering in the nursery during services.
Jennie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as beloved “grandma” to many extended family. Surviving are her son Charlie W. Jr. and his wife Susan of Pittsboro, her son and Jimmie M. Sr. and his wife Fran of Simpsonville, KY, her daughter Barbara S. Hoots and her husband Mike of Banner Elk, her grandson Jimmie M. Satterwhite Jr. and his wife Sally, her great-granddaughter Cameron of Westerville, OH, her sister Marie Martin of Warrenton, along with a number of nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Kathleen Williams of Cary.
Funeral service was held Sunday, Jan. 13 at First Baptist Church in Cary, NC with Rev. Jerry Parker officiating. Burial followed at Raleigh Memorial Park on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Arrangements by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home.

Rodney L. Richardson
Rodney L. Richardson, 80, of Cary passed away Dec. 10, 2007. Born on Sept. 17, 1927 in Danville, IL to the late William L. and Mildred Richardson, and raised in Erie, PA, Richardson graduated from the University of Chicago.
He worked 33 happy years in various locations for IBM until retiring in December 1991. He enjoyed retirement for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Sheree and Michele, sons Rodney Jr. and Bruce, brother William, sisters Virginia, Mary Helen and Holly, grandchildren Logan, Benjamin, Mark, Genevieve and Christopher, and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Memorial Service will be held on Jan. 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Cremation Society of the Carolinas Chapel, 2205 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27604, 919-571-3300. There will be a gathering afterwards at the home in Cary. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.

Mildred Atkins Mills
Mildred Atkins Mills, 91, of 228 Fairview Rd, Cary, died peacefully at Rex Nursing Care of Apex on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007. Mrs. Mills was born in Wake County on April 6, 1916 to Benjamin Floyd Atkins and Iola Gulley Atkins.
Mrs. Mills was employed by the Telephone Company in Raleigh as an operator for 10 years. She also was employed with Lufkin Rule Co. for several years. Mrs. Mills was an active member of Green Level Baptist Church for over 60 years.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14 in the Chapel of Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex. The service will be conducted by Rev. Richard Leader. Burial will follow in Green Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mills is survived by her daughter Barbara Jean Mills Small of Snow Hill; her sons Ted Mills and his wife Rose of Perrysburg, OH, and Carl Mills of Raleigh; daughter-in-law Joice Mills of New Hill; brother-in-law James B. Mills and his wife Florence of Apex; four grandchildren: Jenifer Blanks and her husband Keith, Christopher Small and his wife Julie Baker, Emily Mills and Eric Mills; and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special niece, Dr. Rildia Pritchett and her husband, Dr. Douglas Pritchett of Cary; a special cousin, Carl Edward Gulley and his wife Bobbi of Des Plaines, IL.
Mrs. Mills is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Mills on Jan. 31, 2007. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex.
The family greatly thanks the Rex Nursing Care in Apex for their special care and love all during her stay.

Charlie Leo Perkins
Charlie Leo Perkins, 96, of Pittsboro, died Friday morning, Sept. 14, 2007 at home, with his family by his side. He was born June 24, 1911 in Lylesville, the son of Alexander Lee and Ella Gardner Perkins. He was a retired tobacco farmer, carpenter, and timber man. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Robin Clark, and by five siblings.
A service celebrating his life and home going will be held on Monday Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. in the Apex Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Apex.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Edna Wilson Perkins, and one daughter, Glenda Perkins Michael and her husband David of Pittsboro. Also surviving are two grandchildren: Brenda Hererra of Pittsboro and Robert Clark Jr. of Moncure; five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 16, at the Apex Funeral Home, and other times at their home.
Raymond Erwin Hobbs
Raymond Erwin Hobbs, 80, of 1517 Millhaus Dr., Cary, died Saturday afternoon, Sept. 15, 2007 at Rex Healthcare Center in Apex. He was born March 9, 1927 in Dallas Center, Iowa to George B. Hobbs and Mamie Christian Hobbs.
He was preceded in death by his wife Druceleia Webb Hobbs in March of 2005. He is survived by a son, Dennis R. Hobbs and his wife Sandra of Apex. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Kimberly Campos of Cary, Dennis M. Hobbs and Kathryne Leal of Merced, CA, Christina Hobbs of Apex, and Michael Hobbs of Boone.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Wake Memorial Park in Cary.

Barbara McDougal Gallimore
Barbara McDougal Gallimore, 45, of Apex, NC died suddenly on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007. Barbara was born on Sept. 14, 1962 in Charleston, West Virginia to John and Doris Linn McDougal.
A memorial service was held Sept. 21, at St Michael's Episcopal Church in Raleigh.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Scott Gallimore; her mother Doris L. McDougal of New Bern; sisters Terry and husband Butch Willard of Sykesville, MD, Cynthia and husband David Bess of Murfreesboro, TN, and Judy MacDougall of Clewiston, Fl; nephews Andy Willard, Danny Willard, John MacDougall, Joshua Mead; and nieces Leah Willard Pond, Julie Willard, Jennifer MacDougall, Allison Ciampanella.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father John McDougal.

James Robert Williams Jr.
James Robert Williams Jr., 73, of Cary, formerly of Jacksonville, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007. Mr. Williams was born on Jan. 5, 1934 in Rowan County to James Robert Williams and Etta Campbell Williams. He served his country in the U.S. Marines for nearly 32 years.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Alberta Williams; his son Steven Robert Williams and his wife Donna of Apex; his granddaughter Shannon Spano and her husband Michael of Apex; his grandson Jason Williams and his fiancée Joni Guy of Raleigh; his great-grandchildren Jack and Claire Spano; his sisters Joyce Grant of Salisbury and Trisha Dwyer of Tampa, FL.
The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Apex Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Apex Cemetery with Military Honors.
