Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend left her home on Earth on April 19, 2004 to be with her heavenly father. Ginny was born and raised in Chatham County and was a member of Bells Baptist Church.
Genevieve was a wonderful homemaker and was retired from UNC-Chapel Hill, where she worked for many years in the Registration Department at Hanes Hall.
As mother, grandmother, aunt and friend she touched the lives of many with her wonderful spirit and kind heart. She will be loved and remembered forever. She just lit up when her grandchildren came to see her.
We will all remember how she loved to cook for the entire family — we couldn't wait for her to cook her famous Brunswick stew; when she made it everyone would come in to share the good food and the good times involved. In her last few days she enjoyed the many friends and family members who came by to share memories. She told funny stories and little things that had happened in her life.
She was preceded to her heavenly home by her loving husband of 59 years, Henry Dominick, and granddaughter, Kim Dominick. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Sandra Horton, Beth Gorman and Sydney Lawrence of Apex; and a son, Larry Dominick of Kentucky; grandchildren, Angela Pearse, Kevin Horton and Allison Dominick; great- grandchildren and the light of her life, Alexis Dominick, Taylor and Dawson Pearse; and special niece, Janet Fearrington.
