Alberta Barbee Council
Alberta "Bu" "Teddy" Council passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2008 at the age of eight-nine to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a lifetime resident of Wake County and a lifetime member of Morrisville Baptist Church. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Ida and Hick Barbee, three brothers, and three sisters.
She worked for 27 years at Downtown Belks and was known for her sweet and gentle spirit. Her life was a great inspiration to all who knew her, with her abundant love of God and her family. This love was returned back to her 10-fold from her children. Her daughter Nancy, along with her husband Tommy, not only provided a loving home for her for 41 years, but unselfishly dedicated their lives to Teddy's care and well being. Her son Claybon took her to church on Sundays, and out to lunch and to run errands every week. Council absolutely adored her children, and enjoyed every moment spent with them. She remained active and sharp-minded up until her death. She possessed a positive outlook, and a rare peacefulness surrounded her. She always saw the good in everyone, or had a kind word to say.
She will be sorely missed by son Claybon Council, daughter Nancy, son-in-law Tommy King, and grandchildren Dean Council, Bonnie Gerringer, Cathy Burdge and Jeff King. Also, she is survived by eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
