Frances Hughes Harding Seagroves
Frances Hughes Harding Seagroves, 86, passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Seagroves was born on March 9, 1922 in Raleigh to Paul Newell Hughes and Mozelle Jarrell Hughes.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 in the Apex Cemetery, Apex.
She is survived by her sons: Wallace H. Harding and wife Millie of Apex, and Kenneth D. Harding and wife Kaye of Raleigh; grandchildren: Kent Harding and wife Susan, Steve Harding and wife Karen, Stephanie Jolly and husband Shane, Leslie Harding, Annie Harding, Kenne Harding and wife Allison; seven great-grandchildren, and a great great-grandson.
She is also survived by her brother, Richard Hughes and wife, Flora of Portland, OR.
Seagroves is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Seagroves and son, Wayne Harding.

Mark Anthony Tse
Mark Anthony Tse of Cary passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 2, 2009 following a long courageous battle with leukemia. He was surrounded by his loved ones. Tse was born Jan. 26, 1977 in Jacksonville and was the son of Dr. Andre K.S. Tse and Ms. Susan G. Tse.
He is survived by his siblings Jenny G. Tse and Andre G. Tse Jr. of Cary, his beloved "shadow" Lisa Harker of Seattle, WA, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tse was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to everyone he met. He will always be remembered for his compassionate and generous heart, dimpled smile, witty and funny personality, passion for cooking and eating, and especially his love for Carolina Tar Heel basketball.
A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 804 High House Road, Cary, NC 27513. The family will receive friends and loved ones at a reception at the parish hall immediately following the service.
The family would appreciate that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 401 Harrison Oaks Blvd, Suite 200, Cary, NC 27513. A special note of thanks is extended to all of the caring staff, physicians, and friends at UNC Memorial Hospital Oncology Unit for their unwavering care and love.

Travis Foxworth Brackett
Travis Foxworth Brackett, age 12, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009. He was born March 11, 1996 and was a seventh grader at Davis Drive Elementary School. Travis was a delightful boy, adventurous, friendly and sweet to everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Holly Brackett of Cary, sisters Christy Lynne Brackett, Jenny Beth Brackett and Julie Amanda Brackett of the home, his grandparents Carl and Mollie Foxworth of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Dickson and Norma Brackett of Oneonta, NY. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at Salem Baptist Church, 1200 Salem Church Road, Apex.

Matthew Alexander Haneline
Matthew Alexander Haneline, age 13, died Saturday morning, Jan. 31, 2009 at UNC Children’s Hospital. Matthew was born on March 24, 1995, in Raleigh, the son of Steve and Karen (Terry) Haneline.
Matthew was a seventh grader at Reedy Creek Middle School and loved being at school, spending time with his friends and family, Miracle League Baseball, and watching T.V.
Survivors include his parents; his younger sister Madeline; his maternal grandparents Raymond O. and Yvonne Terry; his paternal grandparents Travis C. and Thelma Haneline; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at 1 p.m. at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC. An opportunity to pay final respects to Matthew will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday, Feb. 2, at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary.

Sue Chapman Thompson
Sue Chapman Thompson, 58, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 3.
A native of Norfolk, Va., she was the only child of Linwood W. Chapman and Kathleen F. Chapman. She graduated from Norview High School and attended Mary Washington College at Fredricksburg, Va., and went to work for the federal government at the FBI in Washington, DC, where she met her husband, Robert E. Thompson. They were married in 1973, moved first to Orlando, Florida, and then to Cary.
Some of her favorite activities included the making and giving of gifts. She made many different kinds of crafts such as needlepoint and jewelry making. She also enjoyed reading and traveling. Her greatest pleasure was visiting and spending time with her granddaughter, family and friends. Sue’s humor was legendary among her family and friends.
Thompson is survived by her husband, Robert E. Thompson; daughter Leslie Pask and her husband Josh Pask and granddaughter Makayla of Holly Springs. Thompson is also survived by sister-in-law, Judith T. Morton and Terry C. Morton of Piney Creek and their children, Zachary T. and Anna M. Morton.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home Chapel, 200 S.E. Maynard Rd, Cary, NC 27511. Interment will follow the service at Wake Memorial Park, Cary. The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Sam Padgett Bailey Jr.
Sam Padgett Bailey Jr., of Cary, age 58, died suddenly Jan. 30. He was born May 30, 1950, in San Diego, CA, the son of Sam Padgett and Carmelita Serri Bailey. He served in the US Navy and retired from US Airways.
Survivors include his mother of Cary, sister Paula Montgomery and her husband Lee of Underwood, WA, brother Roger Bailey and his wife Beth of Georgetown, TX, sister Carme Turner and her husband Ken of Chapel Hill, nieces Kymber, Rebecca, and Brittany, and nephews Troy, Christopher, and Bradley. He was preceded in death by his father and sister Patricia.
Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, NC. Family will receive friends after the service until 2:30 p.m.
Jacqueline Daley Henry
Jacqueline Daley Henry passed from this earth on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Cary WakeMed after a brief but heroic battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Youngstown, OH on May 29th 1932 to parents John and Helen Daley, she was 76 years young when she passed.
She was predeceased by her sister Kaye Willis.
A resident of Raleigh, she was an award-winning gardener and an active member of the Raleigh Garden Club serving as Recording Secretary and participating in the horticulture group.
She was also a member of the Herb Society of Wake County. An active parishioner at St. Andrews Parish, she served on the Activities Committee and was a Eucharistic Minister to the Homebound. In her spare time Henry raised a husband and nine children. She is survived by her adoring husband of 52 incredible years James Kenneth Henry, son of Sylvester and Marie Henry, children Teresa Williamson, David Henry, Steven Henry, Mary Yildiz, Mark Henry, Susan Ferraro, Scott Henry, Jason Henry, Keith Henry, and 16 grandchildren. Her kind heart and gracious manner touched a multitude of friends. Her family was her true love and passion and they will all miss her dearly. Funeral services and a celebration of her life were held Feb. 17 at St. Andrews Church in Apex. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Catholic Parish Outreach of Raleigh, North Carolina.
John Douglas
John Douglas, 84 of Holly Springs died Monday, Feb. 16 at WakeMed Raleigh. Douglas was born in Harnett Co. on June 5, 1924 to John Douglas and Mamie Rollins Douglas. He was a retired farmer and a great man of God. Douglas taught many people in the Lordʼs Work.
Douglas is survived by his daughters Suzanne D. Howard of Holly Springs and Frances Douglas of Fuquay-Varina, his son Allen Douglas of Holly Springs, his grandchildren Curt, Phil, and Marty, and his great-grandchild Darrell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lessie Mae Douglas, his daughter Linda Douglas Sauls, his son Melvin Douglas, his brother George Douglas and his sister Janie Ashworth.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex.
A funeral service will be held at the Duncan Baptist Church on Friday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. Rev. David McLaurin and Rev. Ronnie Stewart will conduct the services.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
