Theodore Morgan Barton

Theodore Morgan Barton, age 81, died Sunday, February 1, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Church of the Resurrection, 6317 Sunset Lake Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Barton served in the Korean War in the US Army where he earned a purple heart. He was an active member in the Lions Club where he served as past president. He was an active treasurer of the Fuquay Historic Society and was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Theodore is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dona Laughin Barton; six daughters, Shirley Mabry of Raleigh, NC, Keri Gortz of Cleveland, OH, Renee Barton of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Jeanette Keeler of Columbia, Mo, Vickie Gaber and husband, Steve of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Elaine Barton-Kashmer and husband, Jason; son, Allan Barton of Wichita, KS; ten grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.

Bernard Arthur Cumbea, Jr.

Cary - Bernard Arthur Cumbea, Jr., formerly of Huntington, WV, age 90, died on Monday, February 2, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC. The family will receive friends following the service.
Bernard was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Burkholder Cumbea and sister, Virginia Pollard.
He is survived by his sons Michael Cumbea and wife, Tisa of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and John Cumbea and wife, Lisa of Fuquay-Varina, NC; three grandchildren, Zachary, Lindsay and Parker; and niece, Peggy Nieder of Richmond, VA.
Bernard was a retired Manager Locomotive Maintenance and Engineering Chessie System Railroad.
He earned a BSME Degree from Purdue University in 1948 and was a member of both Marshall University and Purdue University Alumni.
Bernard was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Diann McBride Nelson

Fuquay-Varina - Diann was born June 24, 1947 in Ararat, VA; she passed away at home with family on February 9, 2015 in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Wake Chapel Christian Church, 905 Wake Chapel Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC. Burial will be at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
She battled ovarian cancer for the past 19 years. Throughout this time, she maintained a positive attitude, and steadfast love for life and her family. She served everyone she came in contact with and was an inspiration to all in her battle with cancer.
Diann retired after 23 years with the Federal Office of Personnel Management in Raleigh, NC. She owned and operated a small business with her husband, which was sold due to her cancer diagnoses. She was later employed by SAS in Cary, NC for a period while undergoing treatments.
She was the daughter of the late Nancy Nell Noonkester Harris and the late James H. McBride.
Diann is survived by her husband, Robert A. Nelson; daughters, Kelli Westmoreland and Kimberly Ayscue; three grandsons, Vince, Spencer, and Harley of New Hill, NC; sisters, Wanda Harris and Pam Inscore of King, NC, Jo Ann King and brothers, Phil Harris and Bill Harris all of Mt. Airy, NC; step children, Brenda Maltz of Olympia, WA, Tina Darnell and Bob Nelson of Springdale, AR.
The family wishes to express thanks to all of Diann's friends for their unending support and love during her long battle with cancer. A special thanks to Dr. Leslie Walton, Dr. Linda Van Le and the entire staff of UNC, OB/GYN Oncology University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Willow Spring - Anneka Maura Foushee, 41, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015. A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, February 12 at 12:00 noon at her home, 7895 Panther Lake Road, Willow Spring.
Anneka Foushee, passionate artist with joy and abandon danced and sang her way through life exploring always the soul's landscape. She has now embarked upon her ultimate journey and will be lovingly remembered.
She is survived by her mother, Belinda Lipscomb Foushee of Willow Spring; her father, Charles C. Foushee of Sanford; maternal grandparents, Hilda and William Lipscomb of Willow Spring; paternal grandmother, Marjorie McIver of Sanford; uncles, Rickie C. Lipscomb and Teresa Ennis, Dennis C. Holly Springs – Faye Truelove Dement, 84, died Tuesday January 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 10481 NC 42, Holly Springs. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery.
Faye was preceded by her parents, Sherwood and Irene Truelove; and brother, Robert Ray Truelove.
She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her Lord and served faithfully for over thirty years as the church pianist for Macedonia Baptist Church.
Faye is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Garvis Dement; son, Greg Dement and wife, Angie of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Sherry Daniel and husband, Bill of Pell City, AL; brother, Jack Truelove and wife, Celia of Fuquay-Varina, NC; sister, Jean Horton of Holly Springs, NC; sister- in-law, Barbara Truelove of Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren, Michael Daniel and wife, Meaghann, Kyle Dement, Luke Daniel and Daniel Dement; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home 401 N Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina.

Susan was employed by the Raleigh Regional Board of Realtors for fifteen years. She loved her grandkids, genealogy, cooking and baking, college sports, being on the beach, sewing, and traveling.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
