Garner - Barbara L. Fish, age 67, died Thursday, August 27, 2015. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Wilton Fish.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Minor and husband, David of Garner, NC; son, Mark Fish and wife, Lynne of Willow Spring, NC; grandchildren, Ashlyn Minor, Roger Fish, Nicholas Minor, and Joey Fish; sisters, Geneva Crouse of Sumter, SC and Rheba Donahue of Roanoke, VA; many nieces and nephews.

Fuquay-Varina, NC- Marilyn Undercoffer, 70, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 5:37 a.m. at her home in Fuquay-Varina, NC. She was born on August 14, 1944, in Niagara Falls, NY to D. Richard and Emme MacDonald. She was raised in Lewiston, NY.
Marilyn married the love of her life, Ed, in August of 1965. It brought great joy to Marilyn’s life to have the opportunity to raise her four children in Massachusetts and then on to Illinois where she was a wonderful mother, homemaker, wife and friend to so many. After her children were grown, she re-entered the workforce and worked in the Alumni Office at Monmouth College, Monmouth, IL and was also known as Rodeo Rosie, the clown, for a few years. In 1997 she and Ed moved to Maryland where she worked for Connie’s (her sister) medical transcription business. Due to health issues, they took an early retirement and moved to Fuquay-Varina, NC where she had lived for the past seven years enjoying family and friends who became her family.
She is survived by her four children, Geri-Lynn (Eric) Montellano of Gurnee, IL, Lori (Brian) Christianson of Fuquay-Varina, Edward “Beau” (Brenda) Undercoffer of Fuquay-Varina, and Judi (Eric) Neff of Fuquay-Varina: 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Connie Banford and Peggy Howe, and her brother Joel MacDonald.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Ed and her parents.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, 1005 Wilbon Road, Fuquay-Varina, followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall generously provided by the parish of St. Bernadette.

Fuquay-Varina - Donald Wayne Strickland, 76, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016, peacefully with his family by his side.
Don was born September 6, 1939, and is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Strickland, Jr. and Alene Amos Pike; step-father, Charles Pike; and brother, Ray Pike.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Phyllis Horrell Strickland; sons, Mike Strickland of Garner, Tony Powell and wife, Leah Powell of Fuquay-Varina; daughters, Diana Narron of Clayton, Debbie Powell of Cary and Krista Barbour and husband, Chris of Clayton; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Charlene Gann and husband, Bo of Mayodan.
Don loved his family and was an extra special husband, dad, grandfather (aka Papa), brother and friend. He served his country as a paratrooper in the US Army. Don was an active member of the Garner Church of God. He was an avid NC State fan. One of the many things people loved about Don was his sense of humor and never ending encouragement. His warm heart, joyful spirit, and Christian faith will always be remembered.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Garner Church of God, 2208 Benson Road, Garner, with J. Dan Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends and family following the service. Entombment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.

Holly Springs - Franklin Eugene VonLienen, Jr., age 50, died Sunday, November 15, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Holly Springs Cemetery, Holly Springs, NC.
Franklin was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was born April, 14, 1965 in Warren County, MI to the late Franklin E. VonLienen, Sr. and Rose VonLienen Randall.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Dawn Chiafalo VonLienen; children, Frankie VonLienen, Melissa Morgan and husband, Adam, Peter Memasian and wife, Meghan, and Katie De Lellis and husband, Steven; grandchildren, Daniel Dellis, Riley Morgan, and Jacob Menasian; brothers, Jeff VonLienen, Greg VonLienen and wife, Sanae, and Jim VonLienen and wife, Dawn; stepsister, Traci Minor; stepbrothers, Kevin Goldman and Brad Goldman; stepsister, Stacy Goldman; and stepfather, Gary Randall.
