Fuquay-Varina - Theron Ray Adams, peacefully met his Savior face-to-face after a full life of 103 years on Saturday, March 14, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 8001 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Willow Spring, NC. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Willow Spring Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Willow Spring, NC.
A retired tobacco farmer, he was born on July 14, 1911 in Harnett County, the son of the late Branton and Stella Adams.
Theron was preceded in death by the love of his life of 54 years, Eva Inez Barbour Adams and their son, Theron Ray Adams, Jr.. He was the last of four brothers and two sisters, Malcolm Adams, Archie Adams, Irene Adams Moore, Mary Adams Hilliard, Guilford Adams and Glenwood Adams.
He is survived by his daughters, JoAnn Byrd, Deloros Medlin and son-in-love, Bennie; sons, Junious Adams and Michael Adams. He proudly included in his family six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Theron loved his family beyond measure and his sweet friends. He never knew a stranger and all who knew him adored him, but somehow you instantly knew he loved you more. He would do anything he could to help you. He enjoyed story-telling, his birds, word searches and good food, especially his ice cream! He loved to sing and his songs filled our days with happiness. He loved the cross he faithfully wore every day which represented what Theron loved the most, his Lord
and he would share that faith with everyone he met.
His family and all who knew him will miss his daily presence in our lives. His legacy of never-ending love, laughter and fullness of joy has impacted our lives and we will never be the same.

Lucile Clark Rose

Fuquay-Varina - Lucile Clark Rose, born on February 25, 1913 passed away peacefully on October 22, 2014. She had made her home at Windsor Point since 1998.
Lucile was a member of Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church since 1957. She was active in many church and civic groups including the Friendly Dozen. She had acquired many close friends and acquaintances in her one hundred and one years, all of which she treasured greatly.
Lucile was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Hubert E. Rose. She is survived by a son, Charles Rose and wife, Kathy of Burnsville, NC; two grandsons, Andy Rose of Seattle, WA and Jeff Rose and wife, Devon of Davidson, NC; and a great-granddaughter, Lucy Rose. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Rose of Goldsboro, NC and Alice Rose of Clinton, NC; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Lucile will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church, 301 N Woodrow Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Highway 701 S, Newton Grove, NC.

Beth O'Shea Silveira

Willow Spring - Beth O'Shea Silveira, 43, a beloved companion, mother, grandmother won her battle with cancer and went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 17, 2014 surrounded by her family. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church, 100 S Judd Parkway SE, Fuquay-Varina, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. one hour prior to the service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Anthony Silveira.
Beth is survived by her companion, Christopher Kellam; six children, Ashley White, Nicholas, Matthew John, Zachary Michael, Celina Lyn and Jade Paige Silviera; parents, Alan and Paula O'Shea; brother, Alan O'Shea; sisters, Elaine O'Shea and Theresa Martin; grandchildren, Bryson, Kyleigh and Natalie Rae.
Stanley Ray Avent

Holly Springs - Stanley Ray Avent, age 66, a Veteran of the United States Army went to be with God and his beautiful Garden in Heaven, where his worn body will be whole again after a brave fight against cancer on Friday, November 21, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Stanley was a Harnett County native born to Duby Avent Blanchard on July 17, 1948. He had a strong will to live for his wife and children and a great love for his entire family. He will be greatly missed by his children.
Stanley leaves behind a loving wife of 43 years, Shirley Reardon Avent; four children, Cindy and husband, Gary Adcock of Fuquay-Varina, Stephen and wife, Lori Avent of Holly Springs, Stephanie Avent of Greenville, NC, and Crystal Avent of Holly Springs; four grandchildren, Brittany and husband, Lee Davenport of Angier, Danielle Adcock of Fuquay-Varina, Meghan and Stanton Avent of Holly Springs; one great-granddaughter, Macie Davenport of Angier; loving and dedicated sister, Wanda LaMarsh and husband, Joe of Lillington; two brothers, Larry Blanchard and Lenn Blanchard both of Holly Springs; sweet, special and loving uncle, Thomas Avent of Holly Springs; several wonderful nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends at Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014.
Ione Pittard Motley Tingen

Fuquay-Varina - Ione Pittard Motley Tingen, age 93, a resident of Windsor Point in Fuquay-Varina, NC, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015. Funeral services will be held at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Harnett Memorial Park, Lillington, NC.
She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and great-Grandmother. She was born April 5, 1922 in Oxford, NC to the late Arthur Taylor Pittard and Annie Wright Pittard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Frank Motley; and sisters, Frances P. Smith and Erselle P. Tingen.
Ione graduated from Lafayette High School and Hardbarger Business College. She was employed by Raleigh Savings and Loan Association and was branch manager of the Fuquay-Varina office when she retired after 30 years of employment. She was a life-time member of Fuquay-Baptist Church where she served for over 50 years in the choir and held other positions in the church. She loved to crochet, needlepoint, and cook and was famous for her pound cakes. She was an accomplished pianist and organist, and could play a song after only hearing it once. Ione often entertained the residents of Windsor Point with her skills on the piano. She loved to travel and prepare food for families in times of bereavement.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Motley Jones; grandson, Brian Jones and wife, Kim; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Kayla Jones, all of Fuquay-Varina. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks for the care given to Ione during the past several years by the staff of Windsor Point, special care givers, Ada Echvarria and Margaret Judd, and Jessica, Joy, and Jamie of Transitions LifeCare.

Gene Barney Campbell

Fuquay-Varina - Gene Barney Campbell, age 88, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N. Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina.
Gene was born in Wake County to the late Junie C. and Mamie Mann Campbell. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Pope, Allene Prince, Lucille Freeman, Ethel Ashworth, Hazel Adcock; and brother, Junius Campbell.
He served in the US Army during World War II in the Pacific and served as a translator in Japan.
Gene is survived by his children, Jeannie Gupton, Jeannie Collins, and John Phillip Campbell; two stepchildren, Connie Dancel and Tracy Bradley; two grandchildren, Destiny Marie Charee and Gabrielle Ann Collins; two step-grandchildren, Christina Cummings and Bobby Bradley; and sister, Mary Sternburger.
