Tristan M. Long

Tristan Michael Long, son of Michael and Susan (Wang) Long, was born February 27, 1996 at Jamestown, ND. He lived with his mother, father, and sister, Mikaela on the family farm in Berlin, ND.
Tristan lived his short life with great gusto putting 110% into everything that he did. He greeted everyday and everyone with a big smile and an extra big heart filled with love and kindness. When Tristan played, he played hard, when he worked, he worked hard, and when he ate, the cook sure knew he appreciated their cooking! He knew how to celebrate life. He enjoyed playing practical jokes, farming, and playing football with friends and cousins.
Tristan had a bright positive outlook that can be summed up by one of his quotes, "Every day is my lucky day!" He was joyful with an infectious, boisterous laugh. At the same time he was sensitive and let people around him know that he appreciated them. He loved being a farmer and cowboy, learning many of life’s lessons from "cowboys" and from farm experiences and values. His parents counted on his older cousins for positive role models and are grateful for the influence of their families and small town/farm community that helped shape his life. He will be remembered forever with love by his family and friends for all the joy that he brought into their lives and all he taught them about living life to its fullest.
In his death Tristan was still able to show us his loving and generous spirit by donating his organs to others so they might have another chance at life.

Survivors include his parents, Mike and Sue Long and his sister Mikaela, Berlin, ND; paternal grandparents, John and Christina Long, Berlin, ND; maternal grandparents, Peter Jr. and Marlys Wang, Devils Lake, ND; great-grandmother, Elizabeth Aberle, Edgeley, ND; 25 aunts and uncles and 39 cousins.
