Phillip Lunstad
Phillip Lunstad, 84, a longtime Columbus area farmer, died at his farm home on December 4, 2005. Funeral services are pending. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Tioga is assisting the family with arrangements.

Judith R. Hamann, age 60, died at the Tioga Long Term Care Facility in Tioga on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, where she was cared for since 1991.
Judith was born in Grad Forks, ND to Orville and Winnifred (Nikle) Syverson on Sept. 4, 1945.

Judith is survived by her parents, Orvill and Winnifred Syverson of Emerado, ND; her husband, James Hamann of McGregor, ND; daughters, Laura White of Williston, ND along with her tow children, Mason and Courtney, Tara Hamann of Fargo, ND along with her two children, Jesse Galusha and Tyler Martinson, and Kaya Koenig of Lakeville, MN; brother Steven Syverson and his son, Michael of Lowell, MA; sister, Sandra McCleary and her children, Erin Lindquist and Devin McCleary of Emerado, ND.
Judith was preceded in death by her father-in-law Gilbert Hamann, and her mother-in-law, Jessie Hamann.
Funeral Services for Marjorie Hauge, 72, of Ray, North Dakota, will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at the Ray Lutheran Church, Rev. Steve Anderson will officiate, and interment will follow at Sunset Rest Cemetery.
Marjorie died suddenly on Monday, December 5, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center in Minot.
Marjorie Ann Davidson was born May 25, 1933 to Orville and Olive (Dilland) Davidson at their home near Tioga. She was raised for a time there, attending school in Ray. Their family moved to Oregon where she continued her education until moving back to North Dakota. Marge graduated high school in 1952 from Lakota, North Dakota.
Marge married
Roger Hauge on October 16, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church at Tioga. They farmed outside Ray all of their married
lives. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to help others, never asking anything in return. Many times she had freshly baked goodies and dropped them off for others who simply needed a little lady to stop by with a warm smile, tasty treat, and a gentle ear to listen to a problem. Unless she was visiting with friends, she liked to stay busy and still helped harvest every fall. She took pleasure in the peacefulness of being outdoors with animals. Wild or tame, they were all her pets. She enjoyed sewing doll clothes, making crafts, as well as giving homemade baby blankets to all her new grandchildren.
Marge is survived by her husband, Roger of Ray, ND; daughter, Susan Bratlien and her companion, John Nystuen of Alamo, ND; a son, Wayne and his wife, Debbie of Ray; daughter, Sharon Kupper and her husband, Dave of Williston, ND; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Davidson of Lakewood, CO, James Davidson of Alexandria, VA; sister, Lynn Chase and her husband, Richard of Las Vegas, NV; brother-in-law, Francis Smith of Mountain Home, AR; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marge is also survived by many great friends, especially Dr. Mukesh and Tina Patel, and Drew and Kathleen Imes
Marie A. Perdue
Marie A. Perdue, 92, a longtime resident of St. Paul, MN and more recently of Ray and Tioga, ND, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2005, at the Trinity Hospital in Minot.
Her funeral service was held on Monday afternoon, December 12th at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Tioga. Pastor James Booth officiated and internment followed at Sunset Rest Cemetery
in Ray.
Marie was born January 4, 1913 on the family farm, north of Ray, to Sales and Mary (Smith) Perdue. She was raised in the Ray area and graduated from Ray High School with the Class of 1936. After graduation Marie worked for the Williams County Mutual Aid Telephone Co. at Ray.
In 1942 Marie went to St. Paul, MN and made her home there for fifty years. She was employed at Northwest Airlines during many of those years. After her retirement from the airlines she worked as a hostess at a local restaurant.
Marie attended and was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in St. Paul and taught Sunday School there for many years.
In 1992 Marie returned to Ray, ND. She was a member of the Ray Senior Citizen’s Center and served on its counsel. She entered the Tioga nursing home in 2000 after having several strokes.
Marie was a very pleasant lady and was very devoted to her family. In life she liked to stay busy, and was good to volunteer where she thought she could make a difference.
She is survived by one sister, Minnie Perdue, of Tioga; one sister-in-law, Freida Perdue of Velva, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Marie in death were her parents; three brothers, Carl, Alex and Roy Perdue; two sisters, Lucy Barman and Zelpha Perdue; one brother-in-law, Vernon Barman; two sisters-in-law, Alvina and Clara Perdue; and three nephews, Richard, Donald and Leroy Barman.

Dwayne (Rusty) Reynolds
Dwayne (Rusty) Reynolds, 80, of Williston, ND, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 25, 2006, at the Mercy Medical Center in Williston, ND.
A memorial service was held Monday afternoon, January 30, 2006, at Everson Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Riekeman officiating.
Dwayne (Rusty) Reynolds was born on August 8, 1925 to Silas F. And Maggie Jane (Spurgin) Reynolds in Alma, OK, where he was raised and received his schooling.
After high school at the age of nineteen he entered the US Army. During World War II he served in the European Theater of Operations and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
Upon returning to the states he hired on with Halliburton. During his long career he served Halliburton in the Rocky Mountain states.
Rusty met Alma Beadle while on a job in Roundup, MT. They were married
on February 2, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK.
They made their home where Rusty’s work took them: Farmington, NM, Oklahoma City and Ardmore, OK, Vernal, UT, Grand Junction, CO, Big Piney, WY, Tioga, ND and Glendive, MT. Several years ago, ill health necessitated their moving to Williston to be near family and medical services.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and vegetable gardening.
Surviving Rusty are his wife, Alma, of Williston; two sons, Bob (Darlene) Reynolds of Williston and their four children, Boone Reynolds and his sons, Sam and Brandon, Lonnie Lea and her children, Calley and Rylea, Cole Reynolds, and Robbie Reynolds, all of Williston, and Ernie (Mary) Reynolds of Powell, WY and their children, Benney Reynolds of Lambert, MT and Tracey (Skeet) Kern of Ballantine, MT and their children, Logan and Kaycee; two sisters, ParaLee Wilson of Duncan, OK and Ruby Minton of Bethany, OK; brother, Bud (Faye) Reynolds of McAllen, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Wanda Harding and Pauline Wilson.

Emil Hedlund
Emil Hedlund, 89, long time resident of the Wildrose and Hamlet area passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006, after a 3 year battle with cancer. He spent the last 6 1/2 months of his life cared for by the dedicated and compassionate staff of the Extended Care Unit at Mercy Medical Center in Williston.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated Wednesday morning, June 7, 2006, at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Wildrose. Pastor Larry Glaeske will officiate and interment will follow at Wildrose Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Everson Funeral Home of Williston on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM and Wednesday at the church for the hour preceding the funeral
Emil was born January 1, 1917 at the family home near Hamlet, ND to John and Mary (Olson) Hedlund. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He attended school in McGregor and Hamlet and graduated from Hamlet High School in 1935. Emil was a member of the CCC in the late 30’s. From 1939 to 1941 he was employed by Union Steel of Albion, Michigan as a welder. He then served in the US Army until 1942.
He married
Ruth Morey on November 7, 1942 in Concord, Michigan. They returned to North Dakota in 1943 and from that time until the present he had been engaged in farming and raising sheep and cattle in the Hamlet area. During the time he raised sheep, he was referred to by some of his friends in Wildrose as "the shepherd from the East." From 1959 to 1961 the family operated the Wildrose Cafe.
He was a member of Grong Lutheran Church of Hamlet and then Grace Lutheran Church of Wildrose where he served on the church council. Emil was a life long member of the Wildrose American Legion and a past commander. He also served on many boards in the area including the Big Meadow Township Board, Hamlet School Board, Farmers Union and Wildrose Economic Development Board. He was a life long member of the Sons of Norway and was also involved with the Lions Club of Wildrose and the Wildrose Senior Citizens.
Emil enjoyed golfing and hunting and particularly enjoyed the annual deer hunt with his family and friends. One of his great enjoyments was having conversation with friends and family or as he referred to it, "Having Dialogue."
Emil is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth, and his sons, Donald (Carolyn) of Williston and Robert (Doris) of Minot. He has six grandchildren, Pal Hedlund of Bismarck, ND, Shawn Landers of Anchorage, AK, Christi Martel (Tracy) of Glyndon, MN, Galen Hedlund (Staci) of Houston, TX, Nicole Hedlund (Steve Sommers) of Broomfield, CO and Julie Karlson (Joel) of Nixa, MO. He has ten great-grandchildren, Destiny Greybear, Arielle and Addam Landers, Jordan, Jacob and Josie Karlson, Jana and Alex Hedlund, Blake and Isaac Martel and two great- great-grandchildren, Curtis and Olivia Randle. He is also survived by a sister, Stella Culkins, and sister-in-law, Alice Hedlund, both of Williston; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Neil and Lois Butler of Horton, MI, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary, and by his brothers Joe, Oliver and Albert.
