He was born Feb. 8, 1919, to Joseph and Kathryn Ebentier in Sutton. He married
Lois Ryan June 27, 1968, in Aberdeen, S.D.
Survivors: wife; stepsons, Daniel Ryan, Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Michael Ryan, Shoreview, Minn., Gerald Ryan, Cushing, Minn., Patrick Ryan, Omaha, Neb., Richard Ryan, Williston, Robert Ryan, Fargo, Jeffry Ryan, of Hugo, Minn.; stepdaughter, Kathy Imsdahl, Sebring, Fla.; 14 stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral: Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carrington.
Burial: Carrington Cemetery.
Prayer service: Tonight at 7 in Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.
Visitation: Today from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon in Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.
LouAnn Johnson
July 13, 1959-Oct. 1, 2006
DEVILS LAKE – LouAnn Arlene Johnson, 47, Devils Lake, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, in a Devils Lake nursing home.
She was born July 13, 1959, to Harold and Dorothy Johnson in Devils Lake.
Her father, of Devils Lake, survives.
Funeral: Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Devils Lake.
Burial: Vasa Cemetery, rural Esmond.
Visitation: Today from 1 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., in Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake.
Marjorie Lindseth
Nov. 9, 1921-Oct. 9, 2006
Marjorie Hope Lindseth, the daughter of Ross and Ella (Hasle) Nesbit, was born November 9, 1921 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. She died at the age of 84 years on Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota.
Marjorie was raised in the home of her parents in Blue Earth where she attended school, graduating from high school there in 1939. Following high school, she began working for the Agriculture Adjustment Administration in Blue Earth. She continued her education in Minneapolis then in Chicago studying Meteorology. Marjorie moved to Jamestown, North Dakota and took a job at the Civil Aeronautics Administration Weather Station where she worked for a few years.
On March 9, 1944, Marjorie was united in marriage to Archie Lindseth in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Following their marriage the couple lived in Jamestown, then at various Army Air Corps Bases until December 1945. Then they moved to the family farm south of Silva where they made their home and farmed. The couple moved to Rugby in 1975 and spent many winters in Arizona.
Marjorie was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge and many crafts such as ceramics and needlework. She was active in the Republican Party and served on many boards including the first hospital Auxiliary and the Library Board. She was a member of the Silva Homemakers Club and Trinity Lutheran Church of Silva, later becoming a member of First Lutheran Church, Rugby, where she was very active in WELCA, the Prayer Chain and was an active Deaconess for several years. An outstanding highlight of her life was a tour of the Holy Land in 1978 with several members of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Archie of Rugby; three sons, Charles and his wife, Davlyn of Rugby, Richard and his wife, Denise of Wichita, Kansas, and Jon and his wife, Julie of Rugby; eight grandchildren, Lisa Lehmann, Kim (Peder) Colbenson, Ginger Strand, Eric, Aaron, Brian (Janelle), Andrew and Tom Lindseth; seven great-grandchildren, Justin Lehmann, Alexis and Sara Colbenson, Derek and Matthew Strand, Jackson and Kierstin Lindseth; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tom; brother, Richard; and her parents.
Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2006 at First Lutheran Church in Rugby, North Dakota, with Pastor Mike Pretzer, officiating.
Burial: To follow in Silva Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday, October 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at The Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby, and also for one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday.
Elaine Dodge
Sept. 19, 1948-Oct. 5, 2006
BOWMAN – Elaine Marie Dodge, 58, Marmath, formerly of the Bowbells and Columbus areas, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Marmath.
She was born Sept. 19, 1948, to Vernon and Harriet Dodge in Kenmare.
Survivors: daughters, Dawn Pederson Sheehan, Crane, Mont., Donna Goff, Sidney, Mont.; son, Darrell Emmel, of Sidney; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; parents, Bowman; sisters, Virginia “Jean” and Arvey Woodbeck, both Bowbells; companion, Rick Enget.
Memorial service: Sunday at 3 p.m. in Krebsbach Funeral Home, Bowman.
Burial will be later.
Marie King
Dec. 29, 1917-Oct. 1, 2006
WILTON – Marie King, 88, Wilton, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, in an Underwood nursing home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1917, to Lewis and Anna King near Regan.
Survivors include members of the Agnes Jennings family, rural Washburn, who were her caregivers.
Funeral: Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wilton.
Burial: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.

Lucille Goettle

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Burial was in Klamath Falls for Lucille Clementich Goettle, 72, Klamath Falls, formerly of the Minot-Donnybrook areas, who died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, in a Klamath Falls nursing home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1934, to George and Samantha New in Waterford Township, Ward County. She married
George Clementich and they were later divorced. She later married
John Goettle.
Survivors: husband; sons, Terry Clementich and Danny Clementich, both Minot; daughters, Loretta Corbet, of Nevada, Cindy Workman, Eden Prairie, Minn., Jolene Workman, of Wayne, Pa., Paula Lynch, Klamath Falls; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, David, Surrey; sisters, Vera Benton, Minot, Mary Hambek, Andover, Minn.
