Patricia ‘Trish’ Gravos
March 3, 1948-Oct. 13, 2006
Patricia “Trish” Gravos, 58, of Watford City, North Dakota, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2006 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND following a lengthy battle with Scleroderma.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 17th, 2006 at the First Lutheran Church in Watford City. Rev. Chris Montgomery and Pastoral Assistant Rob Favorite will preside. Interment
will follow at Schafer Cemetery.
Trish Gravos was born March 3, 1948 to Kenneth and Lenora (Levang) Loken, in Williston, North Dakota. She was raised and attended school in Watford City. After graduating from Watford City High School in 1966, she continued her education at Minot Business College. After completing her degree at Minot Business College she moved to Seattle, Washington for a year before returning to Watford City where she was employed at Stenehjem Insurance.
On October 19th, 1968 Trish was united in marriage to Alvin Gravos of Watford City. Shortly after, the couple moved to Wahpeton, ND for a short time and then onto Williston, ND where she worked at Northwestern Federal Savings & Loan. In June of 1974 the couple returned to Watford City where Trish managed Northwestern Federal Savings & Loan until 1994 when she took a position at First International Bank until 2005.
Trish was an active member of the community serving on countless committees and boards. She was the first woman to become voted President of the Rotary Club, a member of the First Lutheran Church where she played an active roll in the congregation. Some of the other organizations she was involved in included the Watford City Planning Commission, Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development, Bowling League, Chairwoman of the Home Fest Committee, and Friendly 15 Home Makers.
She is survived by her husband Alvin; son Aaron and fiancee Kristen Ault of Billings, MT; daughter Alecia (Brian) Johnston of Parker, CO; brother Greg (Beth) Loken of Beulah, ND; sister Lowaine (Bob) Gudmunsen of Arnegard, ND; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at the Fulkerson Funeral Home in Watford City on Sunday October 15th (today) from 1 PM to 3 PM, Monday from 10 AM to 5 PM and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Mervin Bjornson

NEW ROCKFORD – Mervin Gordon Bjornson, 78, New Rockford, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, in a New Rockford nursing home.
He was born Dec. 9, 1927, to Martin and Grace Bjornson near Wolf Lake, Minn. He served in the Navy from 1945 to 1947 during World War II. He married
Beverly Beck Oct. 7, 1949, in Fessenden.
Survivors: wife; son, Marlin, Tacoma, Wash.; daughters, Pam Luehmann, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Pat Gilliss, Bismarck, Lynne Grinsteiner, Devils Lake; seven grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Hanna, Bloomington, Minn., Ruby Roberts, Park Rapids, Minn., Pearl Courneya, Fargo; brother, Loren, Fergus Falls, Minn.
Funeral: Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in First Lutheran Church, New Rockford.
Burial: Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford.
Prayer service: Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.
Visitation: Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

BELCOURT – Veronica Ann Amyotte, 62, Belcourt, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, in a Belcourt hospital.
She was born June 30, 1944, to Anna and Benedict Houle in Fargo. She was once married
to John Amyotte whom she married
in 1964 in Belcourt.

Ernest Ostvolden May 2, 1942.

WILLISTON – LaVerne Oster, 86, Williston, formerly of Grenora, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, in a Williston nursing home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1919, to Paul and Mae Endres in Williams County. She married
Roy Rockstad in 1942 and he preceded her in death. She married
Reynold Oster in 1962.

ROLLA – Leota Alice Parslow, 91, Rolla, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, in a Rolette nursing home.
She was born Oct. 19, 1914, to John and Della Johnson near Hansboro. She married
Earl Parslow Oct. 19, 1935.
