Kenneth Foondle

Kenneth K. Foondle, 19, Velva, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, in a Minot hospital.
Kenneth was born April 7, 1987, the son of William Mark and Vicki Mae (Skorick) Foondle in Soldotna, Alaska. He was raised and educated in Velva, with Vicki and stepfather, Steve M. Swartz. He attended Velva Public School and received a diploma in 2004.
Kenneth enjoyed going tubing with his friends, playing X-Box 360 and camping. He also enjoyed hunting and ice fishing with his stepdad, Steve, who played a major role in Kenneth’s life.
Kenny’s smile and enthusiasm for life will be missed by all. His smile could melt hearts and his personality was one of a kind.
He is survived by: mother and stepfather, Vicki Mae Foondle and Steve Swartz, both of Velva; father, William M. Foondle, Anchorage; sisters, Cheri L. Bachmeier, Velva, Patricia (Samuel) Sager, Velva; brother, Joey Skorick, Pipestone, Minn.; nieces, Paige, Tabitha, Alexis and Mataya; nephew, Alec; grandparents, Paul (Lorraine) Skorick, Bergen, Kenneth (Rose) Foondle, Kenai, Alaska; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside service: Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at 3 p.m. at the Velva Community Cemetery, Velva.

Paul Ronnie

Paul R. Ronnie, 45, 2009 Parkside Drive, Minot, N.D., died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, in his home of natural causes.
Paul was born Dec. 29, 1960, in Minot, the son of Richard and Margaret (Rademacher) Ronnie. He was educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1979.
He attended college at Wahpeton State School of Science, graduating in 1981. He began his career at Cummins Diesel as a mechanic for a time and later gained employment at WW Wallwork, both of Grand Forks. In 1986, he moved to Minot, where he was employed as a mechanic and later as a shop supervisor for almost 20 years with Cenex Transportation of Minot.
Paul was united in marriage to Susan Long on Sept. 2, 1989, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot. This union was blessed with three daughters, Megan JoAnn, 15, Paige Suzann, 14, and Logan Beth, 11.
Paul was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former member of Bread of Life Lutheran Church and the Elks Lodge, all of Minot. He enjoyed the outdoors, which included countless hours of hunting and fishing, and especially spending time at his cabin at Lake Audubon. Paul also took great pride in ensuring his lawn and vehicles were neat and tidy. Paul’s deepest love was for his family, who will miss him dearly.
He is survived by loving wife, Susan; daughters, Megan JoAnn, Paige Suzann and Logan Beth; parents, Dick and Margaret Ronnie, all of Minot; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda (Ralph) Liebelt, Kramer, N.D, Steven Long, Lincoln, N.D., and Karen (Rod) Christenson, Maxbass, N.D.; nieces, Erica (Burton) Atkinson, Olivia, Hannah and Rebecca Christenson; nephews, Aaron and Tyler Liebelt, Noah and Zachariah Christenson; and numerous cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda JoAnn Ronnie.
Funeral: Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Today, Aug. 4, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home of Minot.

George Vought

CORTEZ, Colo. – George T. Vought, 82, Cortez, formerly of Montrose, Colo., and Garrison, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, in his home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1924, to Arthur and Josephine Vought in Garrison. He served in the Army. He married
Catherine Clyde 60 years ago.
Survivors: wife, 121-3rd St. W., Apt. 2, Cortez, CO 81321-3500; sons, Terry, Ventruss, La., Rodney, Cortez; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-stepgrandson; sisters, Dorothy Krueger, Kief, Margaret Birkeland, Salt Lake City.
Memorial service: Today at 1 p.m. in Four Corners Funeral Chapel, Cortez.
Marie Lill
March 23, 1911-Aug. 4, 2006
BREMEN – Marie Mae Lill, 95, New Rockford, formerly of Bremen, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, in a Minot hospital.
She was born March 23, 1911, to Tom and Tillie Irmen near New Rockford. She married
Joseph Lill June 19, 1933, at New Rockford.
Survivors: daughters, Marjorie Lovelien, Minot, Theresa Przybycien, Williston, Marsha Bauley, Cavalier; son, Robert, Bremen; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral: Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, rural Bremen.
Burial: Church cemetery.
Prayer service: Monday at 7 p.m. in the church.
Visitation: Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. in Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden.
Roy Lind
July 20, 1919-Oct. 11, 2006
Roy Lind, 87, Roseglen, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Roseglen. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery
in rural Mandan at 3:00 p.m.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from Noon to 6 at Thompson Funeral Home in Garrison.
Roy was born July 20, 1919 in Cooperstown, ND to John and Julia (Olson) Lind. He attended the Deepwater School in Deepwater Township.
In the late 1930s, Roy worked for the Civil Conservation Corps. On July 18, 1942 he entered the United States Army and served in Europe for 4 years. He was honorably discharged on January 25, 1946. While serving in the Army he received the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, 2 Bronze Stars, American Theater Service Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal 43. He was also a member of the Roseglen American Legion Post.
Following his time in the Army, Roy returned to the Roseglen area to farm with his brother Art Lind. He enjoyed farming and appreciated the importance of farm and family. Roy never had any children, but treated his nieces and nephews like they were his own. He never hesitated to help them or even to babysit his great-nieces and great-nephews when he was needed. When his brother Art died in 1987, he took it upon himself to be the “rock” for Art’s children. They will never forget his kindness and support.
Roy is survived by 2 sisters, Delores Overlie, Parshall, ND, Sybil Geiser, Minot, ND; sister-in-law, Shirley Lind, Minot, ND; Roy’s nieces and nephews who considered him as their 2nd father – they thought the world of him, niece, Colleen (Dale) Folven, New Town, ND and their children, Shane and son Ashton, and Lindsey, niece Kathy (Terry) Harder, Bismarck, ND and their children, Ramey (John) and son Judah, and Shayna, niece Barbara (Mark) Sauvageau, Minot, ND and son Lance (Kellie); nephew, Trent Lind, Jamestown, ND, nephew, Robin Lind, Roseglen, ND and children, Samantha, Alex, and Josie, and nephew, Gary (Rachael) Lind, Bismarck, ND and children, Peyton and Parker; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Earl, Arthur, Orvin, Norris, and Art.
